The turbo is on the Talon!
I did a few laps around the hood to check for leaks, etc. The turbo really wakes this car up. Can’t wait to get it out to Glamis.

Congrats on the new JR turbo. Hopefully you don't have any issues with the pistons like others have. Keep an eye on the black strut rod that holds up the turbo. A lot of people ( including me ) end up with a broken mount and need to have it welded / reinforced.

A friend and I did the install.
It took us about 10 hours. Not bad for a couple of old guys that move slowly. It’s not a difficult installation. Just time consuming.

FYI Jackson Racing modified the mount I believe you’re referring to.
The first picture is the old mount with a single bolt through the motor mount and a bent over tab.
The new mount in the second picture uses three bolts through the motor mount. You have to drill two holes in the motor mount in addition to the one that is already there.

What size tire are you running?
I’m going to run 30” paddles in the sand, but was thinking about 32” for the trails.
Has anyone put 32” dirt tires on stock Talon wheels? How did they work?

I got the new High Clearance Lower A arms from S3 and installed them today. The powder coating color match was perfect and installation was painless.

Man I saw these what I assume were stock four seater talons struggle in the dunes, not sure if they had paddles or not, I would hope not.
Sometimes it isn't the vehicles fault.... I have seen a myriad of examples in life, (and not just in the dunes), where Just because you can afford it, doesn't mean you should own it.
Back in the day we had 800s's and everyone else had 900's, 1000's, and a few had the then new XPTurbo.. we went everywhere they went.. just not as fast..

I am not bagging on them and maybe they were rentals but watching 2 trying to get up olds they were about as fast as my old 09 Teryx. I like the platform and I think if they can get the turbo cars out they will thrive, hopefully not a one and done like the wildcat xx or yxz.

A turbo on the Talon makes a big difference. I doubt that Honda will ever have a factory installed turbo for the Talon. But there is the Honda approved turbo kit from Jackson Racing that will give you about an extra 60 horsepower. Below is a picture of the Jackson Racing turbo kit that I installed on my Talon. I also understand that a couple of other companies will be coming out with turbo kits for the Talon as well.
