Honda Talons - Let’s see them

FOG the new seats Looked Great in your car and hopefully was a comfy ride too Duners diner
Thanks.
They are a more comfortable ride. The more time I spend in them the more I like them.
When I was doing my research I thought that they might be a good buy and after a recommendation from @ROBERT L I pulled the trigger.
Another dune buddy also bought some for both of his Talons after giving mine a try.

With sand tires on my Talon 1000R the front measures 75.5” wide and the rear at 73.75” wide.  All of my sand rails have been wider in the rear versus the front.
So I bought and installed some wheel spacers from SuperATV last week. This brings the rear width to 77.75” now.
All the reviews say that the spacers improve stability and that makes sense to me.
Anyone try the spacers?

It’s about halfway through the season so I thought I’d give an update on the wheel spacers I installed.  The additional 4” in the rear track only makes a very slight difference in stability IMO. Maybe a little less body roll but nothing I would write home about.
However, I feel that the rear of the Talon slides easier with the spacers.  I like to slide from time to time so I see this as a plus for me.
All in all I think a good purchase. I would have liked a bit more of improvement in reducing body roll but I’ve got some other ideas to hopefully help with that.

I bought some dirt wheels and tires for my Talon. Hopefully I get to use them on some mountain trails this summer.
In the meantime I tried them in Glamis. They are System 3 beadlock wheels with Maxxis RAZR XT 32x10x15 tires. Compared to the paddles they don’t bite, float or slide as well. But that’s to be expected due to the tire construction. The total weight is also about 30 pounds more than the paddles.

The last picture is in front of the “Checkered Building”. My brother and I swung by there on a trip from Gecko Road to the Holtville Airport and back.

I had to make another modification to my Talon due to the taller tires.  The top rear of the roof dug a hole into the underside of the lower bed. Note the white piece of tape in the photo.
I first just cut off the rear section of the plastic roof. That helped but still too close for my comfort with the 30” paddles on because I wanted to put 32” dirt tires on for the summer trail rides.  So I cut off both metal stand-off mounts on the crossbar and zip tied the roof to the crossbar.  That lowered the roof about another inch.
Then I cut the center section that rolls down out from the roof piece that I cut off and fit it back into center of the roof. I have an LED light mounted to the underside of the roof and I wanted to conceal that as much as possible.
The first picture is the roof before my modifications.
