The official Honda Thread

I removed my stock regulator and went with a Weldon pump and regulator. I then used aftermarket fuel rails to have a full return system instead of having the fuel dead head in the rails.

So mine is with a Bosch 044 pump and this is my return line. Supply line I cut off regulator and just clamped a hose in its placeView attachment 89050
Thanks. So are you running a similar FMU? Looking at your picture looks like not a lot of pressure occurs at the return line based on the clamp. I’ll take a closer look at the supply connection. So is it a regulator at the end, then banjo style bolt into the that square portion of the fittings. Did you remove that and thread in a barb?

Thanks for the info. My dads setup is similar to that his runs aftermarket rails with a complete return line, was hoping to keep it basic for now but in the future may go that route if I have the motor built up.

If you cut the original metal band from the factory hose you will have a nipple that you can then side a hose on and clamp. The factory spring type hose clamps work extremely well and never loose tension. I like them better than worm drive, just didn't have one the right size for fuel feed line.

Hey guys first off this thread is a life saver. i am in the process of finishing my j35 install on my baja bug in the next couple of weeks and have some questions.

what did you guys do with the cooling lines? even though my transmission was moved aft a couple of inches there is still no way i can make the lines fit without cutting into the firewall. i saw some billet line connections from p2r i believe but am not sure if they would work as my space is tight. anyone have any suggestions? at this point im going to cut a hole in my firewall and run my lines thru the inside since the radiator sits where the rear window would go.

thanks alot guys

On my Honda someone cut and re-welded the water neck to make it tighter to the motor.

If you''re putting the radiator in the rear window, it only makes sense for them to go through the firewall somehow.  I cut a good chunk of it out on my old bug for clearance, but the radiator was in the wing. No pics.

I ended up having a whole new water neck system built. I will try to find the pictures. If your local to Upland (So Cal), Trac Tuff Rob is the guy who makes all the billet pieces for all the shops that resell them. He can also do custom applications as well.

oh ok awesome thanks. yea for example that install you have there probably would still hit my firewall so im almost positive i have to cut it and run the lines thru the inside

P2R makes nice stuff, and probably cheaper than I can make my own, when you factor in time, materials, and programming/machining.

These guy do J series swaps into Miatas.  He has a custom manifold that brings them out the front.

I was seeing this product last night and the reason i didnt go for it is for 2 reasons

1) I still have to fab up a y for the 2 heads

2) im still not sure they will fit
This is what I fabricated for the "y". It became very involved with multiple sensors, connections, and filler canister, but I tend to think different than most!! If you want, I will measure the distance needed when used with -16 90 degree "full flow" fittings.

so as of right now im probably going to cut my firewall and use the stock water ducts and run my lines thru the inside since my radiator is already set up to run lines thru the inside
