Speed UTV

So curious. Early on somewhere there were 1000s and 1000s of orders. Curious how many cars have now been delivered? How many still waiting? How many bailed?
purely a guess and from recollection of videos/posts
there were about 4600 pre-orders and the highest 4-seater # I've seen recently is only 1300ish

Only Speed would have those numbers.

Going by what's being posted on the interwebs...

I'd Guess less than 1000 have been delivered. 1500 at the most.

You were lucky the belt lasted on the highway. That belt was another 100 yards from being into multiple pieces.

Speed does not have a tool that spreads secondary sheaves so you can change the belt?

Belt changes are easy as long as strands of the belt don't get wrapped up in the clutches.
Why I just change it every 1,000 miles or season, whichever comes first.

I think the car number reflects your spot in line, not how many have been delivered. I assume a decent number of even early adopters have bailed, and the highest I’ve seen is in the mid 1,000s. I assume 7-800?

Speed does not come with or offer a tool to open the secondary clutch, but it’s designed to open using a small crows foot pry bar. HM makes a bitchen (but expensive) tool to open the secondary and locks it open so if you had to get strands out of it, it’s allot easier and less scary of getting you fingers caught in it.

That tool from Hollander would a must buy, if I were a Speed owner. I have something similar for my X3 other than it threads into the secondary.

Not a big fan of using a pry bar to open up a secondary for my fingers sake.

I would guess no more than 1000 cars in customers hands. I think it was around 3,000 early orders.

It seems there are a few more Speed cars that show up in dunes. Camp RZR weekend I think I say 6 different Speed cars. Thanksgiving it was over 10 different cars and this past week it was at least 15 different ones I saw including Max and Robby ripping around the dunes in their Bandits.

I assume the same on the deliveries.

I asked a few times WTF is a "master number", and no one seems to have an answer.

Pretty sure it's your spot inline, as opposed to the random numbers they put on the cars.

My buddy has a 2600 number. He figures he's never gonna get what he ordered. 15k in the trash. 🗑️

Telling people they needed to pay for accessories because deliveries were imminent seems like straight fraud to me.

I think you are correct the master number is your spot in line. All the Bandits have been built. So they bounce between production of the El Jeffe and El Diablo. It is still a slow trickle, but there should be a bunch of cars landing stateside and ready for delivery.

Oh dude...

And they hard sold him too!!! Made him feel like if he didn't buy everything up front, he wouldn't be able to get em down the road.

Criminal for sure. But then again...

Nobody held a gun to his head either. 🙄

It was the greatest sales tactic and hype. Get them before they are gone!!! Prices are going up!!!! LOL!

The "Should be Blues" ???

Seriously??? How is that broken record even Still playing???

😂🤣😂

Looks like the belt flipped. Did you compare it with the new belt? I wonder if it stretched and is longer now.

It didn't flip. I have had friends (different Mfg cars) that have had a similar break down with temp and high speeds.. they just kinda fall apart.

You just put any kinda pry bar in there and push it apart.. it's pretty easy to do honestly. Hollander is making a tool that makes it even easier, if ya want to buy it.

Couldn't that Be said the same for the haters? They are hiring people, they are improving product, they are increasing production..

If they put out a fire, the haters would complain they are wasting water.. LOL

I just talked to my friends that bought a Speed car used recently. They had a X3 max for years and now have the Speed car just spent a week at Glamis going everywhere in the dunes to the border wall and said no issues the car worked very well.. They told me after they went to Sand Hollow when they first got it their daughter likes to go on rides now because it is much better suited for her than the X3 was.. Just their opinion but Glad they are out Having fun
