I'm curious what time of day that race was held ?. Those that know the sand and Glamis know what I mean.Yep Max ran out of talent for sure. Open desert racing is different than the dunes.
Everyone will say I’m just riding Speed pee pee, but if you watch the crash that’s a damn good outcome. These things are solid… but at this weight they’d better be.
Only thing that bothers me about the outcome is the window net opening. I know there was probably chassis flex or something that caused that, but it kinda defeats the purpose if it opens. Otherwise, a good outcome. I mean, he hopped right out.Everyone will say I’m just riding Speed pee pee, but if you watch the crash that’s a damn good outcome. I don’t disagree. But did Max open it to climb out?Only thing that bothers me about the outcome is the window net opening. I know there was probably chassis flex or something that caused that, but it kinda defeats the purpose if it opens. Otherwise, a good outcome. I mean, he hopped right out.
Aren’t you supposed to be eyeball deep in lady-boys in Thailand?Dig the color scheme on your car TJ. Happy to see the thing finally arrived.
I doubt it. The car was still rolling (flipping) when it began to open. I think I recall the same thing happening at KOH when he rolled it and continued on.I don’t disagree. But did Max open it to climb out?

Why bite your tongue? What’s your first hand experience with them?Looks wise i think the two seater looks pretty effin cool. But from there ill bite my tongue
I need to go back and watch the vid…I doubt it. The car was still rolling (flipping) when it began to open. I think I recall the same thing happening at KOH when he rolled it and continued on.
Looks Rad EnjoyI got mine today. I'm very impressed with it in person in terms of build quality, fit/finish, and how robust everything at least appears to be. I only drove it around the neighborhood a bit to bed the brakes in (which were pretty low-bite initially, but with proper bedding actually got really good) then got back to working on my truck. I didn't even take all the protective plastic off yet (if you've looked at pics/vids of these in the factory/shops/warehouse/whatever and thought the wrap looked dull and swirly, the entire car has a protective film).

Have a link?I spent some time last night reading different IG pages trying to get info on the Sand Scramble. I ran across some people claiming videos of Speed cars that caught fire. I only found one but there are claims to a few. Anyone else seen these videos?
I know of one that caught fire. I watched it. It was one of my customers out in G. He exploded a belt, some belt parts got wedged in the turbo area. they were overlooked, then it caught fire in that direct area. Small fire and was put out quickly. Messed up some of the wire harness. :ez:I spent some time last night reading different IG pages trying to get info on the Sand Scramble. Sorry I don’t. I was on Boardmanvile IG. He reposted the Max Gordon crash from the Sand Scramble. I got caught up in reading the replies to his post. That’s where I ran across people talking about videos of Speed fires. I found one on dezertracer812’s page. They say he has a few but only saw one. It was also said there was one in Utah where people couldn’t get out fast enough and got burned pretty bad?Have a link?
Exploded belts can’t be helped. If a fire happens from belt fragments not being removed I don’t fault the manufacture.I know of one that caught fire. I watched it.
