Speed UTV

That’s the thing LOTD, nobody here is arguing except for you. We point something out and you argue back. We answer your questions, and you argue back. You’ve been labeled a FAN BOY a ton of times since this whole thread has started and these are the reasons why. We point out flaws on the Speed and instead of agreeing, you go directly to Polaris or Can Am and bash them for their issues. Robby himself has proclaimed over and over this car will be the baddest SXS ever with superior everything. Now we all AGREE when it’s finally completed no doubt it will be the best. We then point out some flaws and bad judgement calls and all you can do is point fingers at the other manufactures. You then compare him to Trump and Musk! We all know the things you’ve said defending Speed so there is no need for me to constantly pull up your quotes to remind you. Those of us that know, know, the rest can stay under the rock.
I think you have your facts wrong.

Someone says something incorrect and  I correct them. The fact that so many people have their facts wrong (wrong hp, wrong price, saying it will never be built, the whole thing is a pile of crap due to 1 weld, etc) is almost mind boggling.

This is a topic about Speed UTV. Do YOU have one on order? If not, then you might just fall under the category of "sh1t talking hater." Why else would someone come in here to stir up sh1t?

As far as my comparison between Trump, Musk and RG - they are all successful in their fields, they disrupted the current status quo (Trump scared the crap out of career politicians in the swamp) and even though they all had plenty of haters, I think they'll all be successful at achieving their goals.

If you can't see that, I'm sorry. There is nothing I can do about that.

In the future, if you want to make claims, make sure you can back them up with facts. Otherwise, they're just your baseless crap stirring.

Dude , do yourself a favor and actually read what people are writing. It’s like your already sitting there in position ready to pounce in defense of Speed. Quick break down:

“Someone says something incorrect and you correct them”. We say that there is a shitty weld on the frame, one with a gap so big they are using a bolt to fill the gap, and that it would have been better if they had repaired that before the show. Nobody said anything about the whole car being a piece of chit because of that weld. In fact most of us said we would still purchase a car when done knowing that shitty weld was most likely a one off and wont happen again. You return with “ look at Can Ams shitty welds, bad front ends, needs aftermarket bracing, single shear etc,”. Nobody has said that Speed is a piece of chit. What has been said is that it will be stout IF it ever makes it to the sales floor. Yes plenty of joke stabbing at the timeline of WHEN it will finally make it to the public, but rightfully so. Robby ran his big yapper claiming dates of release. When he didn’t make those dates, it opened the door for people to joke. Your rebuttle is how long it takes Ford to come out with the new Bronco or how long it takes Tesla to come out with their new model. Again, don’t admit the mistakes, lets point fingers at everyone else. We give props to Robby for his vision and what he is building and the fact that he’s raising the bar to all SXS manufactures. You on the other hand give no credit to Polaris or Can Am for any progress made in this sport. All you do is bash the two manufactures. So in the end, who here is really being a realist and who here is just being a giant douche? In conclusion, I’ve told you numerous times that I do not have a deposit on a car. I have also told you that when completed I will probably be one of the guys paying top dollar to get one. I’ve also repeated numerous times that the flaws found were preproduction and will be fixed before the car makes it to the sales floor. So giving props to Robby where it’s due, giving props to the Speed UTV for raising the bar in the SXS world, but pointing out a couple flaws makes me a hater? Not sure you understand the definition. I own a Polaris. I’ve had several from them for the last 8-9 years. I’ve kept up on all my maintenance on all of them. They have all ran flawless for me. Now on the other hand, there have been several burnt down over the years. I have never seen it happen, I don’t know anyone first hand, second hand, or third hand that it’s happened to. Maybe people blew a belt and didn’t remove all of the shards and that created the fire. Maybe they were driving around with gas cans in the bed that leaked on the motor that created the fires. Maybe they were set on fire purposely to collect insurance money. Who knows, but I’ve listened to people talk chit to this day about them being fire balls. In the end, I’m not arguing with these people constantly to defend Polaris. No need to, sales say it all. Right now, your defending Speed to your last dying breathe and haven’t owned one yet. Let people talk chit if they want to. Once the car makes it to the public and proves itself, let them eat crow. Climb down off your soap box, the car doesn’t exist yet despite what you saw at the SSSS.

You're absolutely right.

Arguing with haters on the net is a huge waste of time.

Rock crawling in the Speed has yet to be seen as most videos of the cars are all open desert high speed driving. That’s because this is what this car is really geared towards.
They did some clutch testing in Johnson Valley a while back, not sure to what extent.

That's odd, I didn't see that anywhere in your two posts.

Just pointing out the facts, again.
I’m honored that you put my quote in your signature! I just wonder how long you will keep it there. I’m sure you did it to get my goat and don’t agree with the statement and thats ok. You see right now the SPEED UTV is still a concept car. No different than when Ford or Chevy bring a concept car to a car show. Well except for the fact that their cars are complete fit to finish! So until the 200 or so repairs and changes get completed on the Speed UTV, get driven and tested, get CARB certified, and make their way to the public’s hands, they are still a concept car and don’t really exist.

This thread is like watching a reality TV show!!! 🤣

Keep the entertainment coming!

I saw a post from Robby that they will be testing out in the desert this week.

Again, I'm going to correct your inaccurate statement. These are not concept cars. Concept cars are bodies on wheels they push out onto a stage to see if the audience likes the concept. Then they push it back off stage.

Then comes one or two more stages, various mfrs call them different things, but this is where they hammer out the design details of the chassis, suspension, drivetrain, interior, etc.

Then they build prototypes. The first 2 cars Speed built were prototypes and they drive those around to make sure the basic design works.

If all goes well, they then build pre-production cars on the assembly line to work out the fine details like fit and finish and assembly procedures and after all of that gets ironed out, they finally go into production. They have built 3 pre-production cars that people played with at the SSSS and plan on building 7 more for further testing.

So yes, they do exist. People touched them and sat in them at the SSSS. It wasn't some sort of mass delusion. No, they are not for sale to the public yet. No they are no longer concept cars, they are currently several stages beyond that.

Then go click somewhere else. Nobody is asking you to come in here and get turned off.

If you watched all of his videos, then you might know something. When callers called in and asked about a new feature here or there, he said, "Sure, we'll add that!"

Elon Musk does EXACTLY the same thing when a Tesla owner asks for a new software feature. "Sure! We'll add that on the next update!"

They're both also accomplishing something that their haters claimed they couldn't do, which says a lot about the haters.
Its interesting how much you are defending against anything negative said about the cars or robby. Why dont YOU click somewhere else? The title of this thread isnt Speed UTV praise only. Youre so defensive. Much like Robby is. Wait, are you robby sock puppet?

It will be interesting in a couple of years which one of the 'keyboard specialists' in this thread will be 'correct' with their predictions.

Buddy of mine has a Speed on order. He ordered the Diablo RG with an enclosed cab and A/C.  He doesn't think he'll get his until Feb 2022.  I know he bought the Speed Key. Really looking forward for a ride and riding with him.

Dude can drive too. He's said he's going to be renting one from a private party .. probably someone with an earlier order #.

ABC, your friend might be a little confused. They aren't currently selling enclosed models with A/C. That will be a 2nd generation version. AFAIK, the closest you can get right now is a windshield. The current model is designed with dash vents and the ability to add windows, A/C and heater blend box, etc in the future.

Feb. of next yr is a reasonable guess as to when El Diablos *might* start shipping, if there are no supply chain delays. First they're going to deliver 800 El Jefe 4 seaters (2 batches of 400) then they have to reconfigure a bit then start cranking out 400 (??) El Diablos, then I think they're going to make more El Jefes, if I'm not mistaken. Of course things might change between now and then.
