Figured it would be a compound issue, though the weight transfer up front seems to still overwhelm them a bit. 

Shouldn’t be an issue in the sand with the obvious lack of grip.  IMO, the weight transfer is a good thing in the sand to minimize front end push. Hit the brakes to load the front wheels and squat the suspension, lighten the rear end for the slide, good fun!!
