lol They're not concerns of mine as I don't have a speed or any other SxS on order. I'm not hating on them either. Once they get delivered (god only knows when that will be) it will be cool to see how they perform. Who knows maybe after watching some real consumer use my family will get one. BUT I don't see the game changer that RG has promised. Do you disagree with any of the points I made in my first post? honest question, do you think the SPEED will be far superior to any of the other manufactures? and if yes, why?

I disagree with about 80% of what you previously posted.

I don't know what brand of sand rail you own, but there's a good chance that the Speed UTV chassis looks much more like a sand rail chassis than any of the other UTVs. Then you mentioned the power of the Pro R... that's only 225hp, the Speed has 300 hp. 

If you don't see the difference, then you don't. It's there, you just don't see it and that's fine. There are plenty of differences and they're all mentioned in the weekly tech videos. 

 
Just a little input from my perspective and experience. 

1) the Speed car has a lot of great features and will be a good SXS. Game changer ..NO !  A better SXS  no doubt. It has 40 years of RG experience built into it. Are all RG's ideas always the only way to skin a cat ? Nope but FUNCOs are not for everyone either.

2) What they have done in 3 short years is impressive 

3) Nobody on the the planet works harder then RG ...Is that Good or Bad ? time will tell but they would not be as far along as they are otherwise. Todd Romano is a smart SOB , I admire him.  

4) I don't believe they have done enough testing on enough cars. Example we build a pretty nice product that has been refined over many years at Glamis. The Arabs got their hands on cars and we started seeing things we had never seen before. Why ?   Duty cycle !   The typical American goes to Glamis once a month , hardcore guys every other weekend. Arabs are in the dunes every single weekend from mid October through mid April. Every weekend ! They love the rev limiter and drive them like a Lucas Oil shortcourse race every ride. You bet we learned a bunch the first to years and have made steady improvements since. 

5) I believe both rear trailing mounts are subpar. I could be wrong but exposure to the masses will tell the story. 

6)  Proper doors hinges and latches are a double barrel bitch  !! Real doors seperate a car from a toy 

7) I don't have a dog in this fight , I'm still happy with my 2017 2 seat X3. Not to short sell any of them short  it's a SXS

As to what I think? What I think doesn't mean chit. This thread has turned into a peanut gallery which is unfortunate. I started the original thread before the great crash and it was much better than this one since it turned into "Road to 200/300" and what not.

Since you are a sand car guy and "always will be", why in all honesty do you care if "SPEED will be far superior to any of the other manufactures". 

Let us kool aid drinkers have a circle jerk and discuss the almighty Robby Gordon and Speed. 

We get it, the car sucks, it breaks, RG stole all the moneys, you dont like RG. It's fine. It's America, but don't waste your time on hating other people when you "have no dog in this fight".

I'm not on Daves River Place (or whatever) arguing what boat brand is better, why? Because I don't own a Effing boat and don't want to own a boat.

Oh I am not married to my Can Am.  Had the Pro been out when I got mine I probably would of ended up with the Pro R.  I am not really brand loyal.  Just buy what I think is the best for me and what I like to do when it is time to purchase.   I started in a Rhino and jumped to a XP1000 and now 2 X3s. 

Almost bought a Wildcat X back in the day.  Glad I decided on the XP1000 instead.  

As long as you are having fun and enjoying your car that is all that matters.  The rest of this stuff is just banter and campfired crap talking.  I don't take this stuff seriously.

That’s funny I was telling my friend the same thing today  but I’m glad they’re both doing what they do and I miss the other one more every day when I watch the freaking news.

Did I not say that they are Beefier than the rest? I agreed with that. they are a stout car which is very nice because the other manufacturers don't seem to care about that. I would never put my family in a stock can am or Rzr. I would probably put them in a speed. My sand car is an Elite. 3/4" tubing so beefy as hell lol

Ok good point but the rzr is 225 with a warranty same with speed correct? the 300HP speed key voids the warranty right? not that it makes a difference.

There is definitely differences. I never said there wasn't. I just don't see the game changer everyone is talking about. What will set it apart from the rest? Safety is probably my biggest concern with my family so if I was in the market and Speed had cars out that were consumer tested they would definitely be the first car I would look at  

 
We are back to the BASH the chit out of Robby story... I  mean for fulks sake if you don't want one don't buy one... if you think you can do better, well then start your own company and see how it goes... I applaud the guy for having the balls to try....I can't afford a new sxs, but if I could it would be a speed....I rode in the wildcat xx my neighbor put almost 7k miles on that thing before he blew a motor up.....a couple axles and that's it...I'd say that's pretty good and Robby only had a hand in the design.

I use the word "I" because it is my opinion. And when you post you can use whatever pronoun you prefer and that will be your opinion. Its great that we can both have our own!

I am a sand car guy but like I said my family does have SxS's. I've been going to glamis and the desert for 28 years. I love this sport and every part of it. SxS, dirtbikes, sandcars, quads (even though they can get annoying). I don't care if it is far superior. I am trying to figure out why you or anyone else thinks it is! Kind of like that change my mind meme. 

Did I ever say the car sucks? no. In my post I specifically pointed out that the car breaking at the show doesn't count because its a pre production car with 10k miles. Did I ever say RG sucks? Did I say he stole your money? Did I say one bad thing about the car? NO. All I said was I don't see why people think this car will be far superior.

Relax man. Were bullshitting about sand cars and SxS's. were not in a business meeting. I am not hating on the car and never have. I said I was disappointed when I saw it at the show. that is all

Ok so lets use your logic.....

no deiivery could happen at the show  - I guess there is some reason for that - so will take your word for that -

BUT

thats not the reason no cars got delivered - they just are not close to ready ...

So if that  (can't deliver at the show) WAS the reason ...  why not take the cars to the dealerships and deliver them the next day - your answer makes no sense 

My buddy bought another brand UTV at the show and picked it up at the Stealership the next day  - pretty normal deal for as long as I can remember

I talked to a couple of guys at the SxsSss who were low numbered cars 80’ and 90’s. They stated that they had already signed paperwork one was financing and the other would pay cash. They were told end of this month early October they would be receiving their cars. Others have also been contacted and received their vin #’s. 
 

As was stated repeatedly, waiting on EPA/CARB CERTIFICATION. But the process is done. And they’re not allowed to bring in cars into this country without the certs.
