Speed UTV

I'd love to see them weigh the El Diablo and the El Jefe each with a 1/2 tank of gas. I'm curious to see how far off my guesses were.
Hopefully they do it so we can go back and see who was the closest on the weight.

I wonder what the Speed UTV weighed that went to Dakar.

on another note, think about this

If you buy an El Jefe, you actually have the ability to own both a 4-seater and 2-seater Bandit with relative ease.
In a weekend you could pull all the middle sections of the El Jefe and boom you've got a Bandit. To go the extra mile you could order (when available) the few body panels (door sill) and nothing would look off.

Game Changer. No other SxS can transform like that. 2/4 seaters are massively different, not MODULAR.

RZR 900 HP Jagged X model, came out for 2 years.

2 seater, that could be a 4....

Speed has posted pictures of some engine machining and some of the casted parts.  Looks like the factory is moving along.  Safe to say this is being done in China as the warning labels on the machines are written in chinese.engine 2.jpg

All casings, molds, plastics, welding is being done in China with dozens of partners. Same as all the other UTV manufactures do. Speed has not made it a secret they are manufacturing parts in China. They also have said they will be assembling the vehicles in TX.

Bottom line is the CNC machines and robotic machines dont care who’s standing there, or pushing the button. It’s all about the equipment,  programming and QC.
Cleanliness of the shop

Quality of raw materials

GAF of the staff to pay attention to the tooling and whether or not it's mucking up the product

Whether or not there will be an amazingly similar version of the Speed UTV (Sùdù UTV?) in 5-10 years being sold for $10k less

But yeah, common to all these days.  Just sad.

Sounds like someone should be giving that QA lecture to Polaris, based on every single Rzr sold.

:lmao:

Of all of the vehicles in the world and all of the people in the world, this vehicle is most closely tied to it's designer. Based on what RG has posted so far, he's one of the few people I feel confident will take it very personally if a production problem turns up in this vehicle. He seems to be very pro-active and hands on about things, so if more than a couple of these have the same problem or analysis shows a mfg defect, I'm sure he'll take good care of the customer.

He's certainly not going to tell his customers to eff off like Polaris corporate policy.

Also, that shop looks cleaner than some shops I've seen pics of here in the U.S..
