What movie are you watching now?

Just started season 3 of Resident Alien.  I started watching it reluctantly thought well this is going to be stupid and as advertised it was, but the guy playing the alien is funny as hell, plus there are other story lines ongoing.

I would best describe it as a little bit Mork & Mindy a little bit Northern Exposure with some X files thrown in plus a goofy cop show.

Shogun

3 Body Problem

Just started both...

Shogun has been pretty good so far.

I tried it, but reading a movie is not my favorite thing. I gave it a pass after the 1st episode.

Gonna try Pastor that just started I believe.

Also there is another called The Veil with Elisabeth Moss that looks pretty good!

Wife and I have watched the first 3 episodes of Shogun.  Not great but I'll keep with it for now.  Very interesting, at least, from a historical perspective.

I assume once the Englishman "learns" Japanese, the subtitles will fade.

Omfgoshhh

Road House with cringy ass McGregor barely palatable

Terrible movie.  But I am glad I watched it to get it out of the way.  McGregor made the movie worse.
It's exactly what I thought, didn't know he was in it. I was trying to settle into the movie and here comes McGregor. I almost barfed.

Currently watching Resident Alien:

Gotta raise them right!

Just starting Whiplash right now.  Heard it was good.  We will see.

Parish is good!

Stick with the first episode and by halfway you'll get into it.

I had a hard time getting past that he was on Better Call Saul (Loved his character in that btw), but so far it's pretty good!

We just watched Pet Semetery Bloodlines, that was alright...entertaining for sure.

There is a channel called LMN (Lifetime Movie Network) I call it Lame Murder Network.

Every once in a while, they have a decent, true story movie.

We watched, My daughter has my doctor's face. Pretty good, True story about a Fertitlity Dr that had terminal cancer and using his swimmers instead of the husbands of at least 27 women. The Dr wanted this legacy to live, but when women would show up to appointments with their kids and they looked like the Dr and siblings of other patients...people started to do some digging into the Dr!

Crazy

Just finished Masters of the Air, All in all a good series but it was no Band of Brothers.  It also seemed to have the takes three episodes to tell a weekend but somehow they can squeeze a year into one episode story line.

Girlfriend and I just finished up a limited Netflix series Ripley.  It was better than the move from a few years ago and the black and white and artsy film work made it better.

Also finished Shogun, That was good and the end came as a surprise to me.  Definitely lived up to the Game of Thrones Asian version.
