This is BS

A couple beers and I hear even the nicest guy can turn into an A-hole when he thinks his music isn't that loud.
Had one guy tell his camp to pound sand, he then told us to pound sand and turned it back up....

Needless to say, his wife saved his life that night. The next day when you would think that A-hole might have apologized he didn't he told one of the biggest guys around to never come into his camp and talk to him like that again, Well the only reason Mr. A-hole is still eating solid food was the location he said those things and has not come back around.

Music so loud people can't talk in the next camp is bad, bad music makes it even worse but when you go tone deaf karaoke at concert level it should be legal to throw your speakers into the campfire

Yore seriously complaining about it being loud all night in Glamis on Thanksgiving weekend? Got it . . .
You got it? I don’t think you do, let’s play the scenario out just a little bit more…
We camped in Gordon’s, not glamis, away from everyone. A camp pulls up right next to us instead of being at least 100 feet away. They parked so close I couldn’t get my Sand card in the trailer at night, AFTER I asked them not to park that close. Ok fine, it’s not raining, I won’t worry.. but then it got worse.

Hey, guess what?I like to play music also. And when the Neighbir’s music is so loud that I can’t hear my own music then there seems to be a breakdown in mutual respect someplace, and not on my end. When the neighbors music is so loud, I can’t have a decent conversation with my buddies at the fire, you’re just rude. Now when it goes to 5 AM then yes, there’s a huge problem, even if it was “THANKSGIVING WEEKEND”.
And furthermore, I’m not complaining about people riding all night. I’m not complaining about a generator going all night. I’m not even complaining about them being up all night partying. But when your Oompa Loompa music is so loud, it’s rattling the teeth out of my head at 4:30 in the morning then we’ll yes I guess I am complaining about it. And I sure wasn’t the only one upset.

I’m actually investing in a HUGE stereo system for the next trip, I’ll park next to you and you can tell me how it sounds.

Some mortor rounds starting around 5am every 30 mins with a train horn between every 30, and every car light, spotlight etc pointed into their camp mixed in w a couple live rounds clacked off here n there would get the point across, and that’s when you break out the hey I got a loud stereo too screamo and baby shark on repeat.
Couple jbl party boxes linked are stupid loud

If your going to try the sleep deprivation angle you need to wake them up no later than every 15 minutes. By day two they won't have much will to mariachi anymore.

The camp next to us played chimi changa music all night too. I had whiskey at the campfire so I slept right through it, but @Reece Pettersen woke up and went outside at daybreak and said he heard them say "well boys, we did it" when the sun came up. I watched them pack up on Sunday and it was hilarious how slow they were.

Holiday weekends I see as mostly non-duning weekends. We stay up late, sleep in, hang around camp and watch people do dumb things like get their rigs stuck (and we help them get unstuck). Go to the hill and sit there for 2 hours, find a tall dune and watch the sunset with a bunch of friends, and expect absolute madness from the masses. Off weekends are when we tear it up and burn fossil fuels.

This weekend we tore it up though, burned over 40 gallons of fuel in a day and a half. It was a blast.

Makes me miss the washes and holiday weekends. Even though most trips we did were holiday we had no problems with music or rude aholes. We just camped where most wouldn’t. 😂

There's always been rude camps that tend to ruin the vibe you seek. Wasn't necessarily mariachi, just people partying.
It's been a minute since I've camped in Glamis but this phenomenon has been around since at least the mid-70s.....there is just more of them now.

It’s not just at camp anyways , the same dirtbag Mexicans pull up at the drags or the hill and blast the music looking for attention, and what’s with the white guys playing the same stupid rap music now ? Maybe soon their balls will drop and they won’t have to be the fake tough guys

Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
Maybe it’s better this way
We’d hurt each other with the things we’d want to say
Faith was such a fantastic bunch of songs.

I agree way too many Mexicans playing stupid music , and why do they all gotta act like they they have money with the Gucci glasses and all the fake Louie Vuitton purses. I’m done with these idiots , and while I’m at it what about the stupid Iranians that seem to be taking over Costco , rude as hell and ignorant as hell.
Haha my wife never wants to go to Costco with me, and I'm always teasing her about all the classy Asian and Indian ladies shopping there. It has no effect on her though.

Probably 15 years ago, we were camped on Gecko Rd. when at about 2am a group of youngsters pulled in about 10' from one of our groups older, more "experienced" members (who we'll refer to as "Karma") was packed up and ready for an early departure. The group turned the music up, unloaded their quads, and proceeded to rip back and forth on Sand Hwy. for what seemed like an hour. Then they set up their tents, all while yelling at each other over their music. At 6am, "Karma" went outside to do his final check before pulling out when he noticed that the considerate group next to him had left the keys in their quads.😳 (I hope they had extra keys with them or knew how to bypass the ign. switches) 🙄. As he pulled his loud stinky diesel out passed their tent, he stopped for a good 10 mins. with the exhaust just a few feet from the tent and let it idle. As he pulled out, his trailer accidentally ran over the tents guy line ropes. (They shouldn't have put their tent so close to his rig.) Unfortunately the rest of our group left shortly after and we didn't get to see the results of their inconsiderate actions.

Must have been 15 of us quad riders one off weekend in W11. We were there all by ourselves when we went to bed but around midnight a group rolls in fires up the construction genny, bright ass lights & a very loud stereo. They partied for a few hours at least but at 8am when we were ready to go on our morning ride we circled that camp until every trailer door had opened and a confused person was looking at us just revving our bikes circling their camp.
When we got back to camp they were gone on a ride and that night their camp was lights out before ours.

No idiots racing near camp after 10pm sounds good to me - the amount of people that rip right round camp is pathetic.
That includes starting, driving away, returning, etc. If they wanted to be dicks about it, you'd have to park whatever distance away from camp and walk in on foot, or wait until quiet hours are over, or get ticketed for operating past 10pm at all.

I live out in the sticks with one neighbor visible from my house. It's super quiet, so sleeping in the city on work trips is unnerving to me. Glamis, however, I sleep like a baby. Sound of a group of buggies returning from the hill at 0200, next camp over gathering for a ride at midnight, generators, fireworks, the train, @HozayKwarvo 4 washes away screaming at someone, all of it blend together to make a lullaby. I usually wake up around 0400 when silence finally falls.

Thanks for the thought. I have enough experience applying sleep deprivation to know it works.
