I think the 4th gathering was healed at my house in Perris Ca, there were were only like 6 of us here. all trips to Glamis stopped when Glamis Chick got cancer.

I remember the "Old Days". I did have my mule drop a shoe at Osborne Overlook, and that was the night the wind collapsed all the tents. The women screamed and huddled in the truck cabs, cussing and moaning. (Not the good kind of moaning) Still, it was a great trip.
Every trip is a good trip.

It's funny...

I've been on here and RDP for ages...

Both places were pure comedy back in the day! But a couple posters, on here, killed it for me. I'm happy those two seem to be gone.

RD has done a great job maintaining a pretty level playing field on RDP over the years. The posters on here, that killed this place for me, would have been kicked to the curb in short order on RDP.

I suppose we have All grown up a bit? Maybe?

We have all got older that's for damn sure.

I think it was you that tipped me off of a dude on here talking smack over on RDP about some perceived slight I did to him.
I joined RDP to say howdy to that dude. There were some funny MFers over there.
I know some of the GDCers from back when could be hard to take ( including myself), most of them were called out by the community or regulated by moderator royalty (except for the hand fed pets coddled by the “in crowd.”)
Seems like shiz has calmed down with the proliferation of sites / chat rooms catering to hobbies / interests, being banned or given a time out isn’t the death sentence it once was.

Tom Brown and JBB were Fucking hilarious. They were best buds, and would rag on each other non stop. My face would hurt from laughing at their shit sometimes! 🤣

I met him on a friends boat one weekend. (He lives in Canada)

We did a day trip to Catalina. And he paid for lunch for Everyone that day. Six adults and four kids. Had to have been a 500+ dollar lunch easy.

Super laid back dude in person.

But on a keyboard, he would tell you you were a complete fucking idiot, but with his incomparable word smith skilz...

It would take you two days to figure it out! 🤣🤣🤣

Sarcasm was not taken well here in the 00's. Your skillset shows that you could teach some classes.

I was at one of the three fictional Alphabet races (I was invited to) in the dunes and met PWRMAD. He walked up and introduced himself and said, "Oh... you're Toy Collector! So and So (forgot the name, don't care) is here and wants to beat the shit out of you!" I responded with a high level of excitement, pointed out the very simple fact I was one dune over from said person, waved to my "Fan" and not one ounce of negativity came my way from that after that interaction.

I had heard that no less than 6 people from here want to kick my ass.

I've met all of them. Have yet to see that online persona do anything about it in person.

My recent return brought another one to the surface, can't wait to see him one day! :cool:

Yeah, my sarcasm prowess has nothing on your ability to push people’s buttons.
I’ve been a longtime fan of the vitriol, angst, frustration and outright hatred you so effortlessly bring to the table in the responses of those you’re debating / conversing with, it’s a superpower!
I’d obviously heard of you before we camped together, honestly I was a tad let-down when you seamlessly integrated into the group, got along with everyone and was a team player when anyone was having a problem instead of arguing around the campfire until somebody cried.
Reading your post I started looking back for people I couldn’t stand, Steve (Socalmax) came to mind but once he and I met we’ve been good. Maybe Bigblocktank (RIP) pushed my buttons a bit, I never got to meet him in person though.
Hands down GD.Com has been an awesome experience for me, other than Doubleduty wanting to fit me with a locking neck bomb 😆 I’ve been lucky in people taking my shiz for what it is, my ass regurgitating words on the Interweb.
