TCM went bad, no stock anywhere in the country ***UPDATE***2nd update--not good!!

so i might have jumped the gun.  after driving 10 miles  same thing happened again

I try to call rock auto and nothing.  finally i get a hold of A1 Cardone.  they don't speak to the end user but he helped me out.  said same thing happened again.  he said well that's because we never fixed anything but rock auto still charged me.  he put in a request and rock refunded me my money  very disappointing.  then i took my buddies tcm out and will attempt to drive my truck home and park it there until one becomes available.

i now have even seen one on amazon for $9000 ! :angryfire: !  (list price for OEM is $701)

just in case you hear of a crashed 2010-2015 Duramax let me know  part number is 24256861 just incase you live somewhere remote and can call your local junk yard  LMK

Is it just the circuitry and circuit board that needs to be repaired? Any trained electronics tech that does soldering and board repairs will be able to take care of that.

Nothing looks burnt can’t believe how small the wires are to the pins. Some looked like they were touching each other and I straightened them. The ones that are touching each other are common wires at the board

the heat sink is glued to the back of the board so removing it may break it too

Maybe  you can find a cab on carpart and call the yard and see if htey have the module... this is crazy

I gotta say, I've helped design more than a few circuit boards and modules for DoD and the circuit board itself looks OK. All surface mount, halfway decent layout, but the right side where it's wired to the connector is a total nightmare! I can't believe they built something like that for use in a high vibration environment! No wonder these are high failure rate modules!

If China did make them, they'd look more like this.

just paid for one from my local dealer   so i get put to the top of the list but no eta countrywide

keep an ear open--it fits 2010 to early 2015 Duramax models

used my buddies to get my truck home and do a few errands then returned it to him

What about one from a wrecked one or from a pik-a-part type of place?
