Speed UTV

a buddy told me today that he got a phone call from an insider at speed telling him to cancel the large part order he had just placed. he was told they have ZERO!! parts in country and it could be 6 weeks- 8 months. these were basic speed parts that are shitting the bed, clutches, housings, brackets,axles,..

Imagine that.
Sounds as if folks aren't receiving the full story regarding deliveries of more than one UTV related product nowadays...

Not knowing your buddy, or what a large order consists of. Or what he is doing with these parts? For himself or acting as a retailer?

But I can say Speed has parts. To say they have Zero parts, would be incorrect. Maybe they don’t have every part in stock, or there are some parts they are out of stock, or need to keep for warranty work. Plus they have their Norra rent a ride programs? And the Norra 500 coming up. So you know they are stocking up for that. But I saw lots of parts. Probably not going to find allot of body parts or non essential parts in stock, but they looked to have a good amount of stuff. But like I said who knows how much inventory they keep on hand for Warranty & Norra?

Here is a picture of the parts room at Speed. You can see some of the items you listed. Plus they have some shipping containers used to stock more stuff as they don’t have enough room in this part of the building. When I was there another guy had a list of hardware and a few other misc items he was wanting, and they had them all in stock. This was two weeks ago.

Shipping storage containers, which I’m told has lots of parts stock. I think a few were just tires.

What parts are in the crate labeled Super ATV in the second picture?

How would I know? I see what you see. What do you think I know everything! 😂
I guess not. Here I thought you were all knowing. LMAO!!!

Super Atv making accessories for them under the Speed badge?

That’s a really big box of CV boots.
I hear what your saying but that's the only part I know they get from them, but I'm no expert. Just think each boot is packaged in a separate box as a kit with a clamp, takes up more room than you think. Yes, it could be anything they sell.

Maybe they’re portals with proper geometry and double shear? 🤣

Something light and sorta hard to damage like a CV boot, especially if individually packaged (lots of profit going away in that box if so), would go into a tri-wall like on the far left if I’m paying the logistics…

Looks like there will be more new Pro Rs and Maverick Rs in the dunes and desert this season.

Seems some of the Speed faithful are loosing faith and bailing out or trying to find a way to get out. I guess having sweet suspension and a nice chassis does not trump having a reliable car.

That's good that your experience has been great. You must have a higher number car as many of the lower numbers cars I know of had problems. Blown turbos, engines, overheating, etc.

I am number 113. When people first reported the turbo problems I went and bought a push turbo and put it in..

Robby called me and said if you run that thing I’m gonna void your warranty. So with five miles on it I took it out and put their factory new turbo back in.

I ran the windshield and popped a head gasket. I called Robby they put a new engine in it for me.

So in short I shouldn’t have bought the turbo.. and when they said don’t run the windshield I shouldn’t have done that either.

With the new oil cooler and roof scoop they are said to be pretty bullet proof. I guess we find out this weekend in San Felipe!
