No. Rolled all the way under the fender and spit out the front. Big hole!

You can see where it dragged underneath

Sweet! I love my Klockwerks windshield on my street glide. I went with the 4.5" and fit perfectly as I'm only 5'10". It changed the wind draft quite a bit. Most specifically love the ace of spades ♠️ logo they use. Sweet touch.

Few days in Deadwood was a nice break but not without some carnage! Few of the boys went for a ride and Rogie ended up at a HD dealer. $1700 later he was back on the road! His compensator was making some noise and getting worse throughout the trip. Suddenly it was banging now. They replaced everything inside the primary cover.

Completed my quest for the ConUS! I now have ridden my Road Glide in all 48 states!
There is a plan for Alaska on our bikes, not sure when  ill concede and rent a bike in Hawaii to get that state checked off

Now we are in Gillette, WY for the night. Got a little wet but dodged the storm. Got here in time befor it really came down. They are calling for hail overnight

Went by Devils Tower too

Today had 2 options. 400 miles to the next hotel or 525 and run Beartooth Pass. Never been there, its been closed every other time we’ve been near Yellowstone. So LFG! 4 of the 6 chose to ride it.
it wasn’t without a bike malfunction either. Part way up at about 8000’ elevation my clutch lever had some play in it. Never had that before. At 9100’ we were pulling into a lookout/parking lot and my clutch lever went limp! No pressure, right to the grip. I pushed it out and pulled it in a few times and got the pressure back (hydrolic clutch). Little worried so I pulled the primary cover to see if there was an adjustment I could make but none there. Resivore was full, not low on fluid.
After sitting for a bit it felt normal so off we go. Felt fine the rest of the day. Weird!
We got some snow flurries up top, hail about half way down and completely drenched a few times!
Saw deer, antelope, moose w/calfs and over 300 bison in Yellowstone!

All in all a hell if a day! Bike is dirty, very dirty! And we have 5 full days left and 1 short ride home.

Tomorrow is only 315 miles. We were joking about being casual about a 300 mile ride

We are headed to Stanley, ID. The hotel has hot springs and I plan to soak my sore and beaten body for a while!

Had a puncture like Jerry's once flying up the 101 in Scottsdale.  Rear tire went flat and both beads came off the wheel in about 2 seconds at 80mph riding 2 up.  Wet noodle for a rear tire on a fast curving stretch of freeway.  Getting that bike stopped was probably the scariest moment of my life.

Had a phantom tire issue once at Mount Rushmore.  Came back to the parking lot to a flat front tire.  Sucks, I had both tires replaced before we headed out for the trip..  My dad went to find a park ranger for some assistance.  The ranger he found was a girl I went to high school with in Arizona, pretty odd occurrence. She happened to have a tank in the back of her car with compressed air too.  Filled it up and headed down the mountain with it slowly loosing air the whole time.  Got to the nearest makeshift bike shop to have it looked at.  It was the week of Sturgis, so they are everywhere.  Couldn't find anything wrong.  Held air until the day I sold the bike...

Another 315 miles and a stop at a HD dealer! Thanks to Cooper Canyon Harley in Butte, MT!  1 new rear tire (was bald like me) and a computer code on another bike. All good and now in Stanley, ID.

7300+ miles to date. Tomorrow is Nevada, 420 miles

Down by the Salmon river

Add another 380 miles. Trouble free ride but we did get hit by a storm in Oregon & Nevada. Cold rain turned into hail! We were ready for the rain but the hail hurt like hail! (See what I dis there?)

Tomorrow is another 400+ thru Tahoe. Going to be some good roads and great scenery.

No pics today. 7700 miles in

Friday was a short ride from Turloc to Solvang. Met up with some friends and had 10 bikes rolling into town.

All was going good until it wasn’t! After lunch Jerry laid down for a bit and woke up not feeling good. Long story short, all is good after borrowing a buddy’s car, finding a hospital and getting checked out. He has AFIB/heart condition and woke up with some signs of a heart attach. Good thing we went to the hospital. Blood work was good, no markers shown. Couple bags of IV and he was feeling better. Dehydration can be a bitch!

Today is the Live Fast rally and we are headed home a night early.

Depending whos odometer you trust we are 8300-9000 miles in. I changed wheels & tires (size) and my mileage is at 8300+. The Stock bike in the group is at 9000.  Either way its a lot of miles in a short time. Been a great trip and its almost over. 170 miles from home. Knock on wood the bikes and our bodies make it without incident!

Damn this journey has had everything.  I’m glad he’s doing better.  Get home safe

WOW! I feel like I need to get checked out. What a great trip. Peace

The ROAL 2.0 is done for Jerry and I!!!!! Hell of a trip. We bugged out after the Live Fast Rally and rode the 170 miles home to surprise the wives a day early! I escorted him to his driveway and delivered him to Lisa!

We rolled into the rally together and they parked us all in the middle (only the show bikes were allowed in) of the vendors. Called us all on stage and gave us an award for the longest ride ( 8800 miles ) to the rally (the 'trophy' was a 3'' penis trophy   ) When I parked one of the guys walked up with a clipboard and put a number on my windshield, I said you don't have to register my bike in the show, it's no beauty queen. He said we have a "road hard and put away wet category", I said oh then she will fit right in!

and look what I got!

This trip had it all and I wouldn't change a thing!

My odometer says 8592 total miles,, Everyone's is a bit different, Mine is lower then the others, I did change my wheels & tires (went bigger) the stock CVO in the group registered 600 more miles than I did. I used my speedo app on my phone and my speedo is1-2mph off so I don't know which one is more accurate. 1-2mph off over 23 days and 8500-9000 miles may be the difference in the mileage between the bikes. Either way it was a lot of miles!!!!!

Completing my 48 for 48 was cool, 3 of us did it all together at the same time and you could say we did it over the last 3 years on our rides. There is some beautiful country to see here so get out and see it!!!

My bike is filthy and needs a bath and a good detail! I earned everyone of those bugs and rock chips and they all tell a story!

Good to be home!

That is a great story/trip.  Congratulations on not only this trip, but 48.  That is a hell of an accomplishment.
