IMO Hot rods need old school motors. I would do an old school hemi engine (392/426)

We rebuilt a Ford V-4 that Saab used years ago. It was much like the old 2.8 Capri V-6 with two cylinders removed. Cute little bugger.

We are in San Clemente for a family wedding and my cousin has this Nash ambassador. It has those low skirted wheel wells like the metropolitan and I love this car. Tried to get my wife to bite on it and she said no. She still likes the metropolitan. He's going to build this one up and make it nice.

He also has this 1927 Franklin with an air-cooled motor he's going to rebuild. Super cool car.
