Can Am X3 part duex - the build/decorating of the new one

Got some pictures sent of the spare tire carrier Thad made today.  I can remove it for the dunes.   Liking how it is turning out.   Talk to him this morning about it and he got to work on it.

Cant wait to see it all done
It is getting closer.  Installing my S3 Powersports a-arms and TMW gusset kit and bumper this weekend.  Hope to have it on all 4 wheels today.

Hopefully have the cage on Friday and then still have to wire all the lights, radio and pumper.

Spent the weekend installing the TMW gusset kit, shock tower brace, bumper/winch and S3 a-arms.   The TWW gusset kit is not a one person job.  You need extra hands to get the lower arms on dues to the way the due the lower a-arm rear gusset as one piece.  Thankfully I had a few friends come over and help out.

The gusset kit is well designed and stout.  Pictures were taken before I tightened all the bolts and torqued to spec.

Had to remove the little stops on the front hubs as the ball joint cup on the S3 arms was hitting.  Per the instructions from S3 you remove the stop.  It was quick work with a cut off wheel.

Had to to a little trimming on the front plastics so it fits around the bumper.  Did that last night and put the wheels on.   Just have to button up a few things and it will be ready for the cage to be installed.

The next big project will be hooking up the Switch-Pros and all the lights and accessories.

I thought S3 used hiems vs ball joints on their kit?
No they use stock ball joints or the Keller ball joints.  I have seen the Keller ball joints fail two times on my friends ride.  I had no issues with the stock ball joints on my last ride.

Only seen a few use the uniball set up - Long Travel Industries and Fabwerx.

Picked up my car from Thad at Fabwerx today.  I am super happy on how it turned out.  Thad’s cages are top notch and have nice clean lines.   Lots of little details that sets his work apart from the rest.

His cage incorporates an upper shock support.  B-pillar is a work of art.
