I’d rather doge go too far with cutting the bloat. If some job is lost that is truly needed its easy enough to bring it back. Its effin iMpossible to get govt to cut anything

Not sure about this one
$4.5T in tax cuts, but only $1.5T in spending cuts. I am not the best at math but that doesn't add up. I would also bet that the Tax cuts wouldn't be directed at the middle class. Also, some of the program names stated in that article to have soending cut are things Trump said he wouldn't touch. And I hope they don't touch (ex Medicare) as that will impact more people then everyone thinks, and not in a good way.

Agreed. That's a lot of zeros. Enough that it will effect all of us negatively. Some more than others.
 
i worked for a state agency and have seen first hand the waste that goes on. Part of the reason I left.
we bought equipment, hey buy extra so this dept can have some, you underspent the budget by 2 million, oh all of a sudden IT dings them for services rendered so the state doesn't lose the federal money even though they never did the work.
if our budget was 50 million and we spent 45, you would lose the 5 million you didn't spend, PLUS another 5 million because you underspent by 5, so your 50 mil budget dropped to 40 the next year.
I was part of that "we can't lose head count", and once i was hired I spent alot of time doing nothing at all. day after day, and you can only watch so much you tube and internet surfing. finally my brain was about mush someone came to me with an offer out of the blue and i left.
We would surplus equipment that we bought that we didn't use, some still brand new in the box, after sitting in the video room, or store room and it got in the way, take it out of the box before you take it over to surplus so it looks like its been used lol.
One time we needed small manilla envelopes, and i found them on ebay for 1/10th the price we paid, nope, has to be a contract vendor, because they guarantee it. So I asked the chief, what kind of guarantee does an envelope have? if it didn't seal, a piece of tape would fix it. OH NO, we can't do that!

This crap goes on daily.
 
While everyone loves a good tax cut (except dems), what we need is "some" relief and then more investment in America and paying down the debt.

If they say a $4.5 trillion dollar tax cut, why not a $2 trillion tax cut and $2.5 trillion back to America and paying down the debt? Could you imagine being the first President to turn the debt counter backwards? Even if just a little. dems would lose their fucking minds.

Look it up, had nothing do with Clinton, Newt's Contract with America... there was a congress that made a promise and kept it, Clinton had no choice....after that the swamp took over. Newt was the last speaker that had any power....the swamp decided they would rather F us and get rich. It's pretty well documented.

There is a lot next to the Department of Consumer Affairs headquarters in Sacramento that has about 3 acres of brand-new vehicles that have not been touched, washed, or looked at for over 2 years. Meanwhile, my state truck blew a motor, and they gave me some clapped-out 150,000 mi crew cab piece of shit and said they couldn't order a new truck for at least a year.
