What was your 2023/2024 Dune season?

Very short season for me...maybe 5 trips....work got in the way this year but in a good way  :makerain:

Should pay off for a great 2024/25 season with some upgrades to the SU and maybe adding a MavR to the FUN!!  :5:

Well MY post might have been a bit Premature.. With the encouragement of some really good friends I am headed out Saturday morning for the DAY to try out my car I never got to drive Vets weekend? Is my body ready? Not sure Dr says I am 80 percent Healed so still have a few fractures but healing so far its been 6 months. I laid in bed last night praying for an answer and today got home from work and put the paddles on and Moved trailers Fueled up my truck so something inside said after almost 50 years of duning you aren't gonna totally miss a season now. Fingers crossed I can handle the bumps if I can't at least I tried.

Proud of Ya Trap. Enjoy the day. Peace

1 trip logged for this season and probably be the same next. Sold my car and 5th wheel last season,. Re grouping in life and finish the house project. Went out Vets day,  brought a quad and stayed in a Camp N Style easiest trip I have had in 25 years. Parked so close to Cheff you could smell him..

I sure do miss the trips to see and hang out with my dune friends first season I have only done one trip.

We will start the first ride off easy to see if you can handle it. No guarantees after that.  :classic_biggrin:

Glad you decided to come.

Glad to hear that you’re getting back in the saddle.
Woops. Didn’t mean it to say getting back on that  “bucking bronco” ATC.

Hope you have a great time!

Heading out tomorrow morning.  I hear Roadrunner Estates has a vacancy...

we haven't had a good RRE debate in a while.  is the concierge still there keeping peoples spots warm?

Season was pretty good. No major failures but did learn alot and it cost me a new cylinder head and a rear main seal. Car car was never on the tow rope. Did not get nearly as many trips in as I would have wanted and one of the trips was such a dud with the rain and then finding out the hard way my (Used to go to now) Fabricator used a random bolt instead of a set screw with jam nut. Luckily it was on a slower ride and the car stayed in 3rd gear not some other big issue.

Learned that built J series motors must have the baffles removed to relieve crank case pressure. Spent most of the season chasing a leaking turbo only to find out it was that. Due to all the pressure, halfway through the season the rear main leaked like a siv but we pressed on.

Camped with some great folks in all area's, Washes, Pads and RR.

Looking forward to finally getting my new house so I can pull motor for repairs and trans for a regear.

Only one trip to the sand for Veterans however planning on going tomorrow morning. Hope there is room on Gecko.IMG_20231111_111059494.jpg
