What was your 2023/2024 Dune season?

Didn't even have a season. After attending Power Trip,  I dropped off my 5th wheel to get the fridge working. The RV shop Effed up and it ended up torching my 5th wheel and 1 of my 2 SXSs. Insurance took care of me. Selling my 2nd SXS and the Toy Box.

After that, wife and I will probably travel as we're about to be empty nesters after raising 4 kids for 30+ years. Not sure if/when I'll return, but it would only be with a sand car.

I'm over SXSs... and miss the V8.

Mine went the same as the last few.  0 days in G.  Life is just to busy to make that happen right now.

I did however spend countless hours on the phone helping peeps get (and keep) their rides in the sand.

That's a win for me!

A first season for me since 1980, made no trips to Mother G. Wife broke her knee cap spent all this season as her only care giver. Plan is to make up for it next season.

Someday… Kimchi’s Kimchi Stand will be a dream come true.
If someone had a Birria, sushi, taco truck I might be able to talk my wife into the whole "dez" thing..

Funny/sad thing is that she is such an awesome cook that she'd nose up to it all and insist on cooking herself after one trip..

On the big weekends there was a trailer out there that had very good quesa birria tacos. And I’m someone who eats those at all the good spots in socal.

All in all not a bad season.  Didn't break anything not even a belt until the last ride of the season when I broke my exhaust mount. Could of done more days could of been better sand.  Could not ask for a better group to do it with.

Next year hoping for more of the same.....

Also agree the big weekends suck ass, just to many stupid people trying to one up each other in the DUMB department

Almost non-existent. I think we had made a goal of 5 trips and only did 2. Kids sports, getting our house ready to sell, and other life events got in the way. So it goes. Both trips, the dunes were jacked (just after rain). Made for rough riding on quads. I'll be back next season.

Having the tubing boss for heim end at the same spot as the shock tube and cross support puts a lot of stress on the control arm right there.  Gonna over-sleeve it (or already rebuilt)?
Pix are deceiving, it didn't break at the same spot of the cross support, little bit inboard.

Alex Arvizu will get me taken care of.
I trust his fabrication skills.

All new arms being built in the next month.

Did not get in as many trips this season, but covered a lot of dune miles.   Next season I plan to go out more.

Pretty typical season, 25 nights in the dunes.  The only Holiday for me that is out of control is Xmas to New Years, people were jackarsses.  Car drove into trailer every trip, so it was a successful season.  Zero trips to Vendors or Sweet Maries all season, another win, one stop at Sunset Hill on a Wednesday night...............winning again  :classic_biggrin:

Zero days since my last trip Feb. 2018.

...but after over 300 Ice Hockey games all across the US later, we're coming back.

Another travel season and I'll be just like Brooks. There is only so much I can take.

Hopefully when I'm free in Paradise, BaBaBouy will come and visit me.
