We are fkin doomed

Definitely! I'm good with that enforcement too. I still remember it in the early 00's and the correction shortly after.

I didn't get mad per se, but I wanted to make clear that just because they are listening to a certain type of music and flying a certain type of flag, automatically means they are trashing the place. I'm not defending the scumbags. Matter of fact, they're not welcome in my camp. Boy have times changed though. I'm starting to believe it's a SxS thing, too now after reading some other's perspectives. Polaris to blame some too, maybe. New generation, maybe. Sucks all around.
We have rules in our camp, and newcomers are all told, the majority of our group has camped with us for over 20 years:

  • We are Solar Powered, so no late night shenanigans.
  • No littering
  • No camp racing
  • Don't be a jackass
  • no fireworks or laterns

If you want to do any of these things, go outside of camp or don't camp with us.  Pretty simple :classic_biggrin:

What about debauchery?  Swinging?  Swapping?  BDSM? :tll:

Yeah, there was one sheriff out there, he was a short Latino guy. Everybody was complaining about him. He pulled me and my wife over saw empty beer cans in the back seat of the buggy and told me I was a Effing liar when I told him they were old. Told him to test me but he wouldn't. Kept us there over an hour and then just took off
FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE SHERIFF OFFICE.

Funny, How we felt about quads 25 to 30 years ago.

Edit to add, now think it is just the sign and drive thing.

When people have access to easy money, this is what happens.  The Hispanic community during Covid made out the best, moved most people up the income ladder for sure.  You see it everywhere.  This isn't racist, it is reality. Along with more opportunity in Construction and other trade fields of sorts, they took advantage of it all, good for them.  Havasu and Glamis have changed a lot in the past 4 years.

But in the end, most of my peeps come from a background where our Parents and Grandparents taught us how to camp and respect people and the land, both of these things are missing right now, doesn't really matter where you go off roading, you see it everywhere.

The guy wasn't a Sheriff he was a BLM LEO. He had so many reports filed against him it wasn't even funny only thing he got was promotion after promotion.  BLM LEO and the BLM Medical Staff are two completely different  ends of the spectrum same with the ICSO guys who are out there. They are real cops not park rangers with tactical vests and attitudes

Youth is waisted on the young. Or is it spelled Wasted? Peace

20 years ago it was the HELOC duners, It's like their kids are now old enough to spend the money they don't have

I was reading in another Facebook group that Dumont was practically empty and that everybody must have come to glamis. My question is, do the Dumont people leave trash everywhere? I can't imagine they do. There were two new types of groups out there,. camp Razor people and Dumont.

And if Polaris is bringing in all these people they need to sack up and have a full-time cleaning crew. You can't come in and make millions and trash the place with all your guests.
Place was also completely and totally packed.  If 2% of the population are littering arsewads and there's 300,000 people there, that's a lot of litter.

Yeah, more of a mentality thing.  Someone who either saved for a year or spent the last year (or 5) building something from scratch has a very different feeling about the dunes than someone who signed on the line for $400/month (for 120 months, LOL).

There are sooooo many things wrong with some peoples mentality around here. A lot of people that seem to put themselves on some kind of pedestal because of financial status. So let me get this straight, if you can’t pay cash than you don’t belong? If you purchase on a loan, than your the problem. If you own a SXS, than your the problem? Get the eff out of here!

Not at all, and money has nothing to do with it. Making payments doesn’t make you automatically some sort of dirtbag. The easy come, easy go crowd in general will have a different mentality than someone who spent a year in the garage sweating his ass off to get out there. Doesn’t mean you can’t have that same mentality making payments, just means that you have less skin in the game when you haven’t even written the first check.

Similar to the old man who built a house, city grew up around him, and he won’t sell for any price. Too much sweat to get there, and those who just bought a condo next door don’t “get it”

Also: yore mom.

I completely agree with this. Just saying that some people are saying some very stupid things. Let’s not forget there are a ton of people that go out there without toys. Throw a whip on the truck and head to the hill. Yes a lot of Mexicans but also a ton of flat billers. I guess I fall in the flat biller stereotype as I wear a flat bill at times, pee peeey shorts, and black socks!

Also: Do you know why two Asians can’t have a white kid?
Because two Wongs don’t make a white!

It’s about the actions and behavior about certain individuals.  This what I take from the comments.

If I still went to Glamis, I’d fasho be a Karen.   :mac:
I’m going to be there for turkey weekend and I’m going to rat everyone out.  :angryant:
