Someone just posted on Facebook that they ran the piss out of it all weekend in glamis, I think he said 350 mi or something like that. Not one problem. That's great to hear! Although he didn't have his speed key
What does ran the piss out of it for a Speed owner? They made it to the hill, vendors, and swing set? LOL!
I talked to a few owners in Glamis and one dude was on engine number 3.
Ford said the same thing with the Pinto. LOL!Thank heavens for beta testers.
They had a meet-greet run from havasu to the desert bar this past weekend

Yes, he had an aftermarket oil cooler on the car, it had push locks, with no hose clamps. RG sourced him some clamps, and installed them himself.Heard one of them caught on fire, but they got it put out before any damage.

There was also a belt, a leaking shock, and one of the Speed teams cars had a shock failure where some nut wasn't tightened or was missing.
Morgan Motorsports should be telling people to use clamps.Ugh.
I'm never gonna buy into the no hose clamp/push lock deal.
And I don't care how long anyone's had lasted!!!
Anything above 60psi or 140* really needs clamps. I assume the oil cooler saw both.Morgan Motorsports should be telling people to use clamps.
My son did Pushlocks on his prerunner for his trans cooler. First outing, it blew a trans hose off, and lost all of his fluid. Luckily his cooler is in the rear chassis of his truck, so it just leaked all over the chassis, suspension and driveshaft.
They put up over 100psi when coldAnything above 60psi or 140* really needs clamps. I assume the oil cooler saw both.
I would like to see one of there cars on 93 run against an e-85 Speed key. The upgrade from Full Potential for the ECU and clutching is around $10K.I was reading something from Full Potential Motorsports, and they stated that when you start putting power to the wheels, you have to work on the diffs. What's that upgrade costing?
They're claiming more power than the speed key with just 93 octane and their tune

This dude may also suffer from a lack of talent, not just luck. This the same guy a few days later. He is not having good luck with his speed. He is looking at over 12k in parts alone.
Hitting that ledge at speed would break nearly anything not on 40s...This the same guy a few days later. He is not having good luck with his speed. He is looking at over 12k in parts alone.
I am thinking he has some bad luck. The oil cooler line coming off was not his doing. Hitting the ledge was some unfortunate lack of situational awareness which happens sometimes. This dude may also suffer from a lack of talent, not just luck.
