Show us your home away from home

Picking this up tomorrow... starting to get excited! I was not a fan of the colors, but they are starting to grow on me.

sold our Discovery in June of this year... Looking forward to seeing how the cummins 450 does w/ the stacker (this was the only reason I sold the discovery)

Thank you!! Did you also go from a discovery to the AC revolution? Did your discovery have the cat C7?

how are you liking that BFD?

Yesir. 330 hp c7 discovery. Barely could pull my stacker. I can do 80+ comfortably now if I want. Crazy and amazing difference!

my Revolution is a 13 on Freightliners Xc Chassis. Amazing!

Car has been strong! I’ve put it through it’s paces all year and three different state dunes and she’s all I could have asked for!
Losing the transmission early on aside, it’s been a great ride.

Made a huge change this year! Ordered a 2022 Renegade Verona super C in January and picked it up in July! I then retired in September! We've been on the move since and have 12,000 on the Renegade and having a blast! We now have our 06 FunMover for sale if anyone is interested.

How's your new Verona treating you? Have you had any issues with it? Which floorplan did you go with? Anything you don't like or wish you could change? The Verona 40VBH (bunkhouse) is currently top of our list so would really appreciate some feedback. What dealer did you order from? How long did it take to get it?

I know this is more a show, rather than tell thread... BUT I had to report back after driving the new to me motorhome back home... a good 4hr trip.  Man! I am impressed!  I did not think it would be THAT much better, but it is.  I was expecting some improvement going from a fleetwood discovery CAT C7 (freightliner chassis) to the American coach revolution (spartan chassis, TAG 450 cummins ISL) .... but it was a significant difference! Smoother ride suspension wise, and stability wise.  Also the motor is so much quieter... almost deceiving when accelerating (slower out of the gate seems to be the only downside) .... but when I press the peddle, I can't even hear the motor RPM up... it just starts accelerating.  I guess the CAT motor had a little more hot rod noise to it.

Now I wasn't towing anything (that test will be next week) but on the way home... there is the smaller grade going up through whitewater.... I just had the cruise set at 70 and hummed up the whole thing holding 70... without hunting for gears, downshifting etc.  also, the engine brake works so much better than an exhaust brake, and I was only in the low setting.

started with a 2004 V10 gasser about 10 years ago... was a great rig and treated us great... but man, driving it was a nightmare... all over the road, especially while towing in any sort of wind! it was a white knuckle express ride, feeling like we were gonna die at any moment lol...  went to the discovery about 5 years ago and such a huge improvement in drivability could actually go 65MPH in heavy winds with not much driver effort... only thing that sucked is when I went with a stacker... it was a major dog up any grades... felt like a boat anchor back there.  Looking forward to the new experience.

I told you! 😁😁

Im happy you enjoyed driving it. So much less fatigue driving these!

Itll be the same with the stacker but you’ll sh!t over how much better it moves the weight also!

Enjoy!

No where near as nice as some of the other RV’s. But it’s been good for our family. 2003 Fleetwood Southwind 33ft on a Workhorse W22 chassis with the 8.1 & Allison trans.

A few weeks ago we had a front tire blow out at 65mph while towing. Scary ride, but never lost control. The tire did quite a bit of damage, but not as much as it could of been. Insurance claim filed and parts on order. Hoping it goes in the shop in Jan. Should be a 3 week repair. While it’s in getting the insurance repairs done, I’m going to have new front brake rotors & pads put on. I saw heat cracks in the rotors. Replace a window day/night shade that is messed up, and anything else we find. I’m also going to talk about adding a front axle track bar and maybe a real sway bar to make it drive better.
I had to double take your pic. Ours is on the F53 with 85k on it. Great coach.

Nice! You don’t find too many in the blue trim.  What color cabinetry do you have? We have the dark wood.

BTW I have just over 26K miles.

So far we love it. We went with the Verona 40VRB with the bath and a half. We've put 12,000 miles on it since July! It drives like a dream and it has plenty of power! Pulling our 24 ft enclosed with my rail to Dumont, going up Cajon Pass at 50 is pretty good! We also pulled my Jeep Rubicon to Tenn and back and no problems! Set the cruse at 75 and go! There have been a few minor issues but we were prepared of that since this is not our first coach. Nothing that's become a deal breaker. It's at the dealer now and were picking it up tomorrow...were going to Glamis for a week the day after Christmas. I think if we could have changed anything it would be to move up to an LE or classic just because of a few more bell's and whistles. We bought what we could afford. All and all...we made the right decision for us and I'm not sure if we could be happier! The all electric...no propane... is a learning curve and I would suggest the solar and the lithium batteries upgrade which we did also.   We went to Trans West Sport Trucks in Fontana and they were great! I highly recommend them! Talk to Sam in sales. He was really good about keeping us updated as to what was going on. We ordered it in Jan and we got it in July. I would suggest going to the factory if you can and take the tour...it is well worth the expense just to see how they are made...that's what sold me!

Good luck and if you need anymore feed back feel free to get in touch with me.

Sam
