My thoughts on the Pro R

replacement springs are a must! mine when out at 400 miles. No internal valving needed with the Dynamix in my opinion.
on my turbo s, it had .5 miles on it and the top spring was completely collapsed, so it got the mts spring set up. It was good but not great imo. i did the full revalve and it was night and day, except for the one issue. very plush, just wished they had a better grip on after the sale follow ups with their customers. after looking at schmidty and shipping I may just drive the damn things out there, 14 hours one way for me, he said insure them for 9k to be safe lol. that has me scared

the top springs are just tenders to keep the lower spring seated at full extension, they are made to be like that. Revalving the Dynamix shocks is a finite task and even MTS has issues. Its better to leave them alone and go with the SDI E-click i mentioned earlier.

i am checking that out, looking for some videos and feedback

I will say Aarons car is very nice.. He was out playing and using it alot even bought left over fuel from my kid that didn't need it anymore. Thats how it should be. The next BIG thing to do to that car is a Cage in my opinion. The cars are amazing but go way too fast for a stock ..

@madweazl the Anti-geometry is why it feels so plush though. More will give a rougher ride with no way to fix it with the shocks. The stiffer settings will help a lot with that though.

I went in to Brawley for 15g, bought 10g off your son, and 10 or so from Brian as well lol. Plus the 30g I brought out originally. I did come home with about 7g left.

If that tool can be used to get rid of some of that without screwing up the rest of the ride it would be great. I'm hesitant to touch something that Fox put so much work into though; they're far smarter than I am.

need to get a trailer with a fuel station ☮️

The Pro R cage looks pretty good to me. I'm all for safety but who is reliable out there for something that is genuinely better? Doing a search, everybody and their grandma is making one (most are low profile bullshit that I wouldn't put my worst enemy under).

brick city fab is one my buddy had personal experience with, great quality and welds and shipping is really reasonable, and I found a coupon code for it, I was going to get one, but they were farther out than I could wait vs. a local builder so i went local.

Don’t you still have the “race” setting left?

Don’t you still have the “race” setting left?
race setting is throttle sensitivity, shock settings are: Comfort-Track-Rock-Baja

Throttle modes:
  • Sport Mode:
Best for most riding conditions, offering a balance between quick acceleration and manageable throttle control.
  • Rock Mode:
Designed for slow, technical terrain with minimal throttle input needed to prevent wheel spin, providing a very smooth power delivery.
  • Race Mode:
Delivers the most aggressive throttle response for maximum acceleration on open tracks, with immediate power delivery when the throttle is pressed

DYNAMIX DV semi-active suspension offers four drive modes:

  • Comfort Mode: Features low compression and rebound damping for smooth, consistent performance. The power steering calibration is designed to minimize feedback, working with the suspension to deliver a comfortable, effortless drive.
  • Baja Mode: Features high compression damping and low rebound damping. This creates a high dynamic ride height maintaining stability. The power steering calibration has been specifically design to eliminate bump steer and deliver response and feel through high speed desert terrain.
  • Track Mode: Features medium compression damping and high rebound damping. This ride mode optimizes the center of gravity for hard charging trails, with planted and confident handling. The racer inspired power steering calibration delivers superior feel to make the driver feel part of the machine.
  • Rock Mode: Features the industry's first angle management system (AMS). The AMS uses DYNAMIX to lean the vehicle into the slope maintaining stability when crawling through rocky terrain. Paired with the AMS, the power steering is designed for minimal steering effort allowing for smooth control on the biggest rock trails.

For lighting do not waste your money on the replacement headlights from Baja Design. They provide better lighting, but not enough for the price. Better off with a set of XL80s on the a-pillar and a set of XL80s or LP6s on the bumper.

Paddle tires talk to @megadesertdiesel. He runs the Packard sand tire set up and seems to love it.

Cages - if you are in AZ, SDR is there and makes a nice simple strong cage. UTV, Inc and Brick City also make nice cages. There is also Cab Fabrication (Jesse) that makes some really nice stuff. https://cabfabrication.com/contact-us

I'll have to disagree with you on this. The stock Pro R cage in all welded and reinforced at the bends. Granted it's ugly IMO and I will be replacing it but I have no safety concerns with it compared to aftermarket.

I went with the Onx6 40" lightbar and a pair of LP4s on the A pillars. I may do something down on the bumper in the future but we'll see how this does first.
