Fur babies. You have them. Lets see'em!

So sorry to hear that.  I’ve been though losing one recently and you’re right, it never gets easier.

Had to put down 2 dogs in the last 18 months.  Saga is my last dog now.  Going to be a long time before I get another.
Diesel was the second one in less than two years.  I'm a bit of a mess this weekend but there will always be a pup in my house. Saga is a pretty girl..

Me to. They are the best. I've had 6 of them over the last 27 years.

All great dogs.
What is funny about rotties is the perception of ownership. You may think they are your dog, but it very quickly translates into you being their human.  When you are their possession. you are everything to them.

A relationship or two ago, and a pup or so back had I a couple babies in my house on weekends.  These little bros learned to walk with a death grip on my coffee table.  Stomping all over my rottie's face.  She didn't give a single chit. Every time they fell on her just greetiing them with the most love possible as they crashed on her.

Had to put my other big guy down tonight.

He was getting old and cranky. Doc thinks he may have had cancer in an elbow that caused a lot of pain...he was on meds tho.

Snapped at the boss while she was trying to take a selfie with him and caught her in the cheek. Sorry buddy, we can't do that....

Fucking sucks.

we did that when my son was little, wife had 2 weenie dogs and they had a doggie door to go out back, my dad made a block off so they could come in the house and not go but about 2 ft inside the door. my son was learning to walk and stuck his hand in between the slats some how and she got him. wife said take her and put her down...........wasn't my dog really they had been hers for years, and I tell ya I bawled like a baby for an hour in the truck, that was tough.

if you are on Instagram go follow dogs_of_glamis fun page showing all the dogs playing in the sand.

I hated small dogs, and then I got this little guy as a rescue that was severely abused. Best damn dog I ever had. Absolutely loved the dunes. Little guy went on every dune trip, Glamis, Sand Mt, st Anthony, an Oregon dunes, etc. He had a thing about trailers and garages. If a trailer or garage was open he went straight for it.
Had to put him down a couple years ago. I took it really hard and still miss him terribly.

Pets are somewhat more family than actual family!
They are so much to us, but we are everything to them.
We get them for 10-15 years, but they are with us their ENTIRE life.
It is so difficult with the time comes and the pass on to the other side.
I know this isn't a cat forum, but we had one cat that showed up at our house one day, would hang out then would leave.
He came back every day but was well kept so we knew he had a home.
For 7 years that cat, we named him Luke, would come over every day and come into our house and hang with our cats, play with the toys, eat treats, etc...
Like a 3rd cat to us.
Luke was hit by a car and I saw him in the street and went up to him hoping it wasn't him. He had a crinkle in his tail and when I felt that I knew it was him.
That hit me so hard even though he wasn't ours.
What made it hard is that he picked us...he trusted us, felt comfortable with us.
We took him wrapped up in a blanket to the local vet hoping he was chipped...someone else was missing him.
RIP Luke,

Love them knowing that you have given them the best home that anyone could give.
Our little furball's are awesome!!!
