Everyone welcome, Hurricane Hilary

Work told us to stay home Monday paid in full

we had super storm sandy here about 12 yrs ago. a lot of trees down everywhere no power for 3 weeks couldnt get gas for generators because the gas stations either had no gas or no power two weeks before the supermarkets and commercial areas got power back. the refinery in newark was flooded so all the fuel was coming in from Philadelphia. the storm surge was crazy wiped out thousands of homes. but the craziest thing was when the eye of the storm came over the change in pressure caused a friend that is epileptic started having seizure's went to the hospital and there were 50 or so other people there having the same problem.

There is a summer dune run this weekend. What do you think, boat or rail?
I know one guy says he's still going out...  I was on the fence, my girls were dying to go.  The storm put an end to that!

I'm in Julian so we got chainsaws ready.  Flooding not an issue but old trees hate high wind and wet soil.

Wasn't there a big scare for a giant storm last summer? Didn't amount to anything. The media sensationalizing an oddly placed and timed weather event? How weird... :classic_ninja:

My Jackery electric generator is charged since I need it for my CPAP in case we lose power.

Other than that, not worried at all.
