Thanks. Almost Two weeks sick now. This has been wicked. Finally getting a bunch of sleep and hope to be back in the shop next week. I can't stand sitting around!

Some awesome old wheelstander footage starting at 1:07:29. Only clip I have ever seen showing the big red wagon that pulled the little red wagon. I have to think that is very early with the fans walking all over the infield.  This whole vid has some amazing vintage footage. Of course I love old drag racing history.

I built the lower radiator mounts so they can unbolt and slide down. That lets the radiator drop slightly if it ever needs removed in the future. Time will tell if I can pull the radiator without pulling the whole front drive assembly off the motor. Those two little brackets welded to the frame we're a b**** to get to so I just used spot welds versus a bead. It ain't pretty but it won't fall out. I should have welded it from the top. Monster 20x28 condenser for the ac. Now I have to figure out how to build an upper mount for the radiator that is removable from the bottom and also condenser mounts. If I ever have to pull the condenser out of the truck the radiator will have to come out first. That shroud was way too shiny. I like it better being black.

Well Griffin and vintage air both recommend 1/4 to 3/8 between the fins on the condenser and the radiator. Half inch maximum. There are a lot of cars out there that run more than half an inch. If I go with the bigger condenser I will be more than half an inch. With the smaller condenser I think I can get a quarter inch clearance going to have to figure out which is a better way to go here. That smaller unit is still 23x15 and 1/2 fin coverage. The bigger unit is 25 by 19.

Call vintage Air and he said it's a no-brainer to run the smaller condenser and be as close to the radiator as possible. There we have it. These brackets will be fun to build.

Put foam between them.  They're just trying to minimize the flow lost in the gap between the two.

Radiator mounted solid which makes me very happy. First portion for the uprights done on the condenser. I cut apart a piece of box tubing to make my little angle iron pieces. Gave me a perfect 90.

That LS3 throttle body is going away. Going to run a cable style so once Holley comes out with cruise control I want to have cruise.

Super happy with these two trim pieces. I like this second design better. A lot cleaner. Now I just need to finish all the little trim pieces around each wood section. Thinking I might be a couple weeks away from spraying a whole bunch of bronze paint on parts. I keep putting off shortening a stock rear axle 3 in and bolting it in to see if I can get a rear wheel off by removing just the upper a arm. Ugh. We need to make a bar going across for the shoulder harnesses which attaches to the main hoop. Because we had to suck that hoop together to get it in the truck we will have to weld that in the truck instead of out on the bench. First throw some paint on those roll bar pieces. Then grind the paint off where we need to weld. Then paint after weld. Still don't quite know how I'm going to do all the metal work in the cab. I probably need to get my winters 4 speed shifter and longer cable ordered and figure out how that's going to get mounted. Sheet metal up front is going to be a massive project. Just going to have to tackle it. I'm also getting itchy to start building the motor. Booooost!!

Now I have to figure out how to mount the darn thing to the frame. Would like to have some sort of rubber cushions. This will be tricky. Welding those front pods on this coming Sunday so then we can find out how much this thing holds. I am about a quarter to 3/8 away from that lower arm so I definitely need to cycle the suspension and make sure it will clear. I can always go down and back with the tank slightly but I'm trying to keep as much clearance underneath as possible.
