Which CV grease to use?

On my old VW Buggy I used the Lucas green & had no issues.

On my PSD I started out with the Cat Extreme Application Desert for 2 seasons, then changed to Certified Premalube Xtreme. not sure what Im going to do this year....

In our Group we all do it differently:

Marv: Ricochette

Swepco 101

934

2D

Scott: 06 PSD

Belray MolyLube

934

PBS Seq

Doug: Sand Limo

Swepco/Belray

934

2D

Bob: 15 PSD

Certified Premalube

930

2D

I have this chart in an excel format, but the new forum will not allow me to upload it.

Am i reading this correctly, i feel the clear winner is Permalube.

Well… I hope this debate can finally end 😅 — been working on this grease for almost 2 years now.

I’ve been lucky to work with some seriously smart people — real lubricant chemists, not just racers with opinions. We tested everything on the market: 4-ball weld test, temperature resistance, you name it. And then we put it in the cars that matter — everything from average LS cars to some of the fastest cars in Glamis.

On top of that, Kevin and Connor McMullen have been thrashing it in their 5000 lb prerunner in the desert — real-world abuse in high-speed, high-load environments. It’s been through seven revisions before we even considered releasing it.

Some quick nerd facts for the skeptics:

  • This grease weighs 11.04 lbs per gallon
(for reference, Bel-Ray is 10.05 lbs)
  • Uses a synthetic thickener, and is packed with molybdenum and a high load of graphite
  • Temperature rating: -184°C to 399°C
  • 4-ball EP weld: 500kg

This stuff is dense, and making something like this isn’t cheap. We didn’t cut corners. No repurposed blends. No bean counters. Just the best formula we could make — specifically for 930 and 934 CV joints.

We only ran 2,000 tubes on the first batch. It’s not some mass-produced general-purpose grease — it’s purpose-built, race-tested, and podium-proven.

I will do my best to post updates here, we have more products in development. But feel free to follow the Instagram.

Podium website should be up shortly with a gd.com discount code. Until then it will be sold through gearone

Recommend two tubes for 4 CV's? I want to get some ordered while you have it in stock.

Can you add the new Podium grease to other existing grease if you just need to add a pump or two? Or do you have to clean the CV's entirely and start with all Podium grease?
