Whats your 4th of July work week???

Tuesday only - not complaining, we get a ridiculous amount of Holidays...note the 4 global holidays - they added those during Covid...April is the only month we don't get a day off.

Tuesday is a union holiday for me. Working Monday. Had no plans so I’m good with it!

A large San Diego based tech company with offices worldwide - it's a nice gesture that they are doing it, but when I see other family members in construction who get only 1 week of vacation, minimal holidays, minimal sick time, can't work if it's raining, etc. - I almost feel guilty.  3 weeks vacation after 5 years of employment should be law in my opinion,

 
We just had this exact conversation and everyone is pissed off. Like I somehow am in charge of making the 4th a Tuesday. 

So here we are not half way thru the year and the only person who has any PTO is me, again somehow my fault.   If they don't work Monday and Wednesday they don't get paid for Tuesday, again my fault.  They are going to have two Mondays next week, my fault, They don't get to stay out till 11pm watching fireworks drinking beer because you guessed it my fault.

I need to hire Chummin

I am guessing that Monday and Wednesday I will have less than a full crew. I figure the new guy's who do not get paid for the holiday will definitely take advantage of not having to work the before and after  
Always at least a couple of guys like that: you can predict when they’ll call in sick based on when they’ll accrue 8 hours…

 
We are off Tuesday but it's non paid. According to Google employers are not required to pay. 

 
Working Monday and Tuesday is the holiday. Since im the boss, I have to be available on Tuesday as well for our finances. We are owned by a French company and they don't recognize our holidays when it comes to closing out the prior month.  

 
I am closing our shop SAT thru Tues so my guys can hang it all out. Back to work on Wed.

Field- Off Tuesday Non Paid.  We offer a good PTO program so they can use their PTO for Monday and Tuesday if they'd like.

Office- Closed Monday/Tuesday.  Paid.

Pretty typical.

Tuesday Holiday paid. Might work from home Monday and Wednesday...

Since I was too stupid not to look at the calendar and put in for Monday, I only have Tuesday off.   Paid.  Fortunately I work from home on Wednesday so I can have some real fun on the 4th . . .

 
Just got an email from HR, I now qualify for unlimited vacation, I don't accrue vacation anymore.  Paid all of the time  :classic_biggrin:
Companies are getting tired of paying out weeks of vacations when people leave their job. Hence the spin it to give unlimited vacation. Never could wrap my head around going over what industry standard is...  felt like I would be put to the front of the fire list.. if/when things slow down.

My agency capped me at 500 vacation hours and I think I still have over 500 sick leave.  Only 36 flex hours . . .

 
Monday and Tuesday off, paid.  And a bunch of people will still call out on Wednesday...

 
My wife's boss just went around and let everyone go home.  must be nice!!!

 
We have too much going on! Monday we have 3 crews pounding out a huge job. Peace
