Another vote for the Pool Cleaner. Works great!

Anyone know what the difference is on the Pool Cleaner 2 wheel vs 4 wheel?

We actually inherited this 4 wheel Pool Cleaner with our house....not sure how old it is.

4 wheel has more "traction " for larger steeper pools. The "drive" mechanism will travel in a straight line longer than a 2 wheel before a turn event happens.  Putting a 4 wheel "drive" mechanism in a 2 wheel cleaner Is also a "thing" 2 du.

So I just got my new Rock @Rocker electric pool sweep.  I have and use a 4 wheel pool cleaner for many years  and it’s always in the pool working 6-8 hours a day.  I have great suction and it moves around aggressively.  So the pool should be pretty clean.  Well……….. I was so excited I put my new electric cleaner in last night and did it for 3-2hour sessions  (those are between the occasional pee breaks--lol, and I’m impressed. The first thing I noticed when I open the doors was lots of fine material. And like 30 of those little Beatles that seemingly are swimming in my pool with me that don’t go away. After dumping out the two collection bins I was happy to smash them all. I also noticed a few blobs of disgusting gooey stuff. Look closely cause this is “ not” what my pool cleaner was picking up. Further more all this stuff can easily be removed and discarded where if I didn’t use this new product, it would be in my main filters plugging them up.  the unit puts out a huge amount of water out the top of the unit so when its climbing the wall it stay well planted. Every time it goes up a wall it goes all the way to where it pops out of the water so its cleaning everywhere.  My thought is i will use like twice a week until the debris gets less and then maybe put this in once a week for 3 hours.  It also has a special no tangling power cord and has a 50' reach from controller.  There are two large rubber flaps at the bottom of the bins that allow the debris to enter so leaves go right in and do not impede or stop the process.  My "Pool Cleaner" has to pass the leaves through its own motor so one leaf can shut it down.

Still crazy to think about putting a 120v electric corded cleaner in a pool.

Very nice cable but you don’t know if it gets changed to 12: or 24 volt. I’ll check out the main box. It might say output voltage. Ran it another 6 hours today and got this and my pool is super clean but it’s finding more stuff

Wow John, that thing sucks!

:lmao:

I really want to be as Sham-WOW as the next guy.....but all the finer material yore seeing gets sucked and filtered at the main DE Pool Filter. Your simply catching it an early point that can be cleaned each time you pull out the robot :robot:

Do you at this time feel the water is truly clearer, less items floating around?

I'll say that unit scrubs better, or it should...

Big debris and leaves were never a big problem as I have a leaf canister for that stuff.

The rocker electric pool sweep is a cool idea BUT wouldn't you still want to have a certain amount of water changes through your DE, sand or particulate filter anyway?  So you would still have to run your pool pump everyday in turn not saving you any energy.

Yeah, I get the scrub part. We hit it with the brush once a week with the current setup. It's only when the planets fully align and the DE Filter gets cleaned that our pump vacuum unit can even climb the walls....and not effectively either.

I can't imagine this Elec Robot unit draws much, another factor to consider is electricity bill using it.

i like that, probably going to get one of those.  my pol floor looks cleaner and a lighter color then i remember.  this has way more suction then the normal pool cleaner so i do believe it is pulling up stuff the other one just cant. and it scrubs right up to the top of the water line on every wall

i run my pool pump the same as before, i didnt buy it to reduce that or energy savings.  i have some blackish stains on the lower side walls for years.  maybe i dont scrub down there hard enough, was hoping it would work on that--time will tell

i have always had a DE filter and water was always OK, had the same filters for last 10 years but think they were getting larger unseen holes or tears so i changed them to the pure and clear filters--no more DE and i instantly saw super clean water.  so now not wanting to clean "those" filters as often i decided to get this unit and plan to run it one a week after i get the pool all stabilized from the changes

So its been a year, My rocker pool sweep is the best thing ever.  I really never put my normal hosed sweeper back in, why would i?  this thing still picks up crap loads of stuff i have no idea of what it is but it is like cellulose.  i get these super little beetles in there. when i clean the filters i smash them all (they cant seem to get out of the sweep)

the best part is the dark area on one side of my pool that was there for 5 years is gone.  i tried everything and every chemical and scrubbed the crap out of it with no success.  I do not add any more chlorine in the summer months as my IC40 is now able to keep up with demand even though the pool water is at 78-82 degrees

my water has never been cleaner and i run my sweep like 3 times per week for 3 hours.  because no water/power is being used for my old hosed sweeper, i can divert more suction power to my floor drains!  in my skimmer i have so much more power i have to close the little adjustable window almost closed cause if i don't the pump will suck the skimmer dry!

way less chemicals, water is happy, wife is happy
