The Fishing Hole

Went out yesterday looking for door mats. Couple big bites but none stupid enough to take a boat ride. Nice day on the water though, beers were cold and we didn’t sink or get arrested. Back to working on boats to try and finish mine before the season

I still remember fishing with my grandfather in Oklahoma.

Decided to do an early shakedown cruise on Saturday while I was up in Alaska. Grabbed a few guys and went out since weather was nice and dropped a few hooks. Got four Halibut 60#, 34# and two small. And a nice big Ling Cod but he had to go back as too early to keep Ling. Not too bad for a few hours of early season fishing.

Anyone use a fishing kayak? Thinking about picking one up, however, I have no idea where to start. I’m a bigger guy, 6’1” 250 and want to be stable.
