we were on a 3/4 day out of Marina Del Rey last winter and a guy caught a 43lb yellow on a strip of squid on the bottom.......came right up, The guy didn't move 10 feet either way on the rail. Healthy looking fish so go figure.

I am down in San Diego and I used to fish the bays a lot. Spotted Bay Bass are a blast to catch. I've been thinking about getting back into it. I have a paddleboard setup to fish off of but there can't be any wind and I can only work small areas. I've been thinking about getting a Hobie 12' Pro Angler kayak. They are a little expensive (3500-4500 used). Does anyone have one, how do you like it? Any input?
