Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has been eliminated

Hope they stay safe JD. My Son in law is at the embassy in Iraq. They are on shelter in place for now unless the locals start up then they may evacuate.
Daughter is on stand by for now but will mostly get a mission next week.

We had a trip planned to visit her mid March. She was put in charge of organizing an event for her squadron history, black tie dinner, fund raising, big wigs in attendance the whole thing. Got a call from her 2 weeks ago saying its off for now. She is pretty tight lipped about things but, when I pry and ask questions she will give me yes and no's with not alot of details. Just to say this has been in the works. Like I said in the original post, hope this is over quick!
My grandson married an Iranian gal and her mother is still over there.
I did meet the mother a year ago, and then she returned. So far she's okay.
But all are concerned.

Was supposed to be doing a survey for an Entry Control Point upgrade at NSA Bahrain right now, but the job got pushed back.

As others have said: I hope this doesn't drag out like other engagements have. I am glad that it appears that Trump isn't hamstringing things and letting our men and women do what they do best: wreck parties.

This is 47 years overdue.

This is the first conflict since I retired that I'm bummed to not be a part of.

I find it entertaining that they named a successor to the leader and then Trump ended his 15 minutes of fame. Unlike Venezuela, this is for a regime change. I want to see Iran push the islamists out and retake their country. It would be nice to rebuild the alliance we once had with Iran, especially in that region.

Ooohhhhh a new 15 year war to help siphon tax dollars to the inner circle.
Hey, we had a great 4 year run of siphoning tax dollars to fund Peruvian LGBT comic books, gender sensitivity training for Nigerian Police AND a $4 Billion donation to the World Bank, let the “inner circle” back to the trough for a bit!

News have not been showing it but the embassy in Irag has been under attack.
Son in law is good for now, daughter is obviously stressed as well as us. Hopefully they can evacuate him sooner then later.

Clear a path in the air for an AC-130. It will only take one strafe.

I would say I can't imagine what it's like for you but I know first hand what you're going through. My brother was in Vietnam and my mother tried to put on a strong face while he was there but I could tell she was very stressed out.

Stay strong and let's all pray for our military members kicking ass over there!!

This is so overdue, 47 years. If Carter would have had some balls, the Iranian people would be flourishing. The people and country are amazing, and we need them to be a free country again, they could dominate the world market. The country was already on the brink of a Civil War, this bombing hopefully will push it over the edge.

Plus, the Women are hot

They got together what was left of the leadership in Iran to have a meeting? WTF??? are these the dumbest people on the planet????????? Oh Israel sent them a meeting Gift.....about another 5000 lbs of it... now there are 40 less of them AGAIN.........

Why would you get 40 of your top guys in ONE spot when you know the Israelis are just dreaming of that..........can't fix stupid, but you can drop 5000lbs of high explosives on it.
Well you see the clever guys over at the Mossad 🥷sent out an Outlook Meeting Invite and well once the confirmation of everyone 💥

I noticed something in all this that no one is talking about. Putin has changed his tone and rhetoric for the first time in 30 plus years. Putin usually takes a very firm stance and speaks from a position of authority. Right now, Putin is calmly asking for a peaceful approach.

Why?

While Russia remains a formidable opponent, their resources have taken a heavy toll in the war with Ukraine. I'm not sure Russia could enter or sustain a multi-front war. Also, Russia is the biggest supplier of weapons to Iran. With the regime change, Russia will lose an ally and a revenue stream. This seems little but is very significant.
