Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has been eliminated

The way the US has always dealt with Iran for decades was insane! Trying the same thing over and over again expecting different results. That is until now that we have a POTUS with a large set!
Now....I hope he does the same as he did in Venezuela, get shit done and get out. I truly believe Trump does not want a protracted conflict and will avoid it if possible.

That's the plan.....let the people push those terrorists out. Most Iranian people Hate the Islamists....but they have/had the guns up until now.
 
Esco, JD with all due respect when you flood and post stupid shit in every thread and derail it with memes it does no service to the post or the board. . This is a serious situation for some of us. My daughter will be flying in and out of the shit show for God know how long.

We have always had a dedicated fourm for "political" post and if it was something up for debate then absolutely. I feel this is more of a informative / current event post. Don't get me wrong, I love a good meme but, 5 in a row will derail any topic.

On a side note. Nice to meet you Ziggy. It's good to see young blood on the board.

It can be a fine line for sure. I've witness 100s of memes or similar posts make threads go sideways in just a few additional posts.

As far as young blood, lol, I'm actually kinda old and have been going to G since VWs and atc90s ruled the dunes..also a gd.com member since the 2000s sometime. I didn't rejoin after the site crash or whatever it was until riverdave & chris bought in.

So to get back to topic.
Looks like in one day we took out a majority of there leadership. I hope the people start taking action and help in thier movment to replace this mess of regime.
You would think the military and police would be thinking twice about continuing but these are not reasonable people we are dealing with. Also, unfortunately they still have millions of citizens that support this regime.

Back on topic:
I have extended family in Iran, they are safe as of now, but concerned, yet pleased
the targets are mostly military. And no, the family members are not Muslim.
I'm counting on a short episode and halting the murder of locals that speak out.

Hope they stay safe JD. My Son in law is at the embassy in Iraq. They are on shelter in place for now unless the locals start up then they may evacuate.
Daughter is on stand by for now but will mostly get a mission next week.

We had a trip planned to visit her mid March. She was put in charge of organizing an event for her squadron history, black tie dinner, fund raising, big wigs in attendance the whole thing. Got a call from her 2 weeks ago saying its off for now. She is pretty tight lipped about things but, when I pry and ask questions she will give me yes and no's with not alot of details. Just to say this has been in the works. Like I said in the original post, hope this is over quick!
