They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.I met my wife when she ran a deli, some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I have been married 30 years now.
Aardvark's?I'm a PB and J fan as well, but haven't had one in years. However, when I was young, poor and owned a vintage clothing store in Hermosa Beach I ate them every day (My car was dead so I rode a borrowed bike to work and a good meal was when the rents were paid and I had $5 in my pocket which would buy me a Bean / Cheese / Rice burrito from El Terasco and a 22 oz Mickey's from the liquor store).
Last sandwich I had was leftover X Mas steak on a croissant with horseradish mayo, gruyere cheese, grilled onions and a tomato. That was epic !

My wife bought her 50's style wedding dress there for 25 bucks. Back in 1984. She probably went in your store looking around also. We were on a budget wedding since we had to pay for it. I remember Either Or! lol Just asked her and she remembers your store.Good memory, but no, we were on Pier Avenue just down from Either / Or and were called the Junkyard Exchange. Granny Takes a Trip was open at the same time as well.
Aardvark's was actually a bit of a "chain" as they had a store in SF, on Melrose and the one in Hermosa Beach, which strangely enough, was located a few doors down from my place here.
