Sand Car Prices - New and Refresh

Depends on what you want as far as price. You can get a new build for less than that. And current wait time is just under a year as last reported a few months ago. When I shopped it last year I found Funco was actually less than most other high-end builders and wait time was shorter. I'm not suggesting you're going to get something from them in the price ranges discussed above but you don't have to spend $275k e

Buy internal bypass shocks...you'd be surprised (i sure am) what a difference they make....i actually like the chatter bumps...it's kind of like riding a jet ski with just a little bit of chop - feels like it hooks up better when you are riding at the correct speed vs glassy water.

That's one of the main differences between buggies and sxs - they have more travel of course, but the rough sections you're not using more that the first 6 to 8 inches...which is where the internal bypasses shine.
I'm on the fence regarding an IBS upgrade on my 2-seat mid-engine Subi/2D SU after coming from a 3500# car with 3.0 Kings, will they really make a difference? Some have told me it's not worth the money.

I have the same car as you. I researched it and could not find a way to do it without new/redesigned A arms and rear spindles, along with some frame fab/redesign for the mounts as well. While you "think" you are going from a 2.0 to just a 2.5, the diameter is more (3.5 inches with coils) and the length of the can and shaft are more. The way I figured it out, I would lose suspension and pay a lot of money to do it, for little gain. We have 8.5 length shocks on the front (overall length 24 inches), Fox only offers down to a 10in in the 2.5 internal bypass. I tried talking to Fox about a custom can and shaft to trim down a 10in 2.5 IBP but they seemed very disinterested in talking about it. Rears are 16 in (over all length 36 inches)

I did upgrade my shock bridges(all 4) to a DSC adjuster setup and that will get you closer. Kartek has them but you'll need to call and talk to "Chris". They don't advertise them on their site and Fox doesn't make them anymore.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Post the total length of your shocks as well as the shaft lengths...and some picture of how the shocks mount...
It was worth every penny in my book.
As @Mac mentioned above you are going from a 2.0 to a 2.5 on the front - in my case it still fit, but barely.
On the rears I went from a 2.5 to a 3.0, and due to the width being more I had to use offset misalignment spacers, but it fit. Your car being lighter you could get away with 2.5's in the rear too I'd imagine.
I took a long time and made sure it would all work before I bought anything...Luckily, I had a CAN-AM where I was able to make sure a 2.5 would fit on the rear (from a thickness perspective) - same for the rears.
