Racer Front Engine Sand Car - Why?

Small holes don’t hurt the cage. Most sanctioning bodies make you drill holes for inspection

Or, since it bothers you, pick an option that doesn’t need holes :ROFLMAO:
On a car of this level... I would expect something along the lines of Zodiac Cable Routing Clamps...

Any Mid Level Machinist could crank out a drum of them on a weekend, as most of us know.

I would much rather have zip ties than clamps. High-quality zip ties are still the best option for plumbing off road cars, especially race cars.

So, if I use red, yellow, or green electrical tape, wrapping the wire to the tubes, it is low-class...
What about camouflage duct tape....

Asking for a friend ; )

Back on topic. I saw one of these Racer's in Glamis for the Tatum/Racer regatta a few weeks ago. I didn't get a chance to see who the owner was or talk to him, but later found out it is a client from many years ago, Sean Moore, who as owned several Racer's. He was leading a separate dune group from ours so didn't get to see in dunes either.

Cool to be different and think outside of the box.
Years ago, a buddy of mine was at an offroad race and heard this car coming...had a very unusual sound, it was screaming he said.
He was thinking it was a class 10, but.........it had an outboard motor mounted sideways.
Talk about thinking outside the box! Not sure how that would even work????
LOL
