Padres Road to the World Series

Ok, so GAYm 4 was last night!
So glad those 2 douchebags got tossed after the interference. There's video of hem getting ejected. Apparently one lady praised them for doing stating it's a Championship game and good for them!
WTF? Turn the tables Beeeyotch!
Doyer's got smoked last night!
I kind of want the Doyer's to win at a home...but' I'd be totally OK if they blew them out of the water tonight and ended it all!

What say you guys?

That Grand Slam that Volpe hit last night was only a HR in one MLB park, Yup, The Yankees little league field.
Hoping this series goes to a game 7, I'm not ready for Baseball season to end

Edit to say, Freddy is still on Fire !

The outcome was kind of expected given that the Dodgers were throwing Casparius, Knack and Honeywell. It was discouraging that Hudson and Honeywell were as awful as they were, they didn't even give us a chance. Hate to start having the Yankees get confident at the plate, but the thinness of the starting pitching stuck us with this bullpen approach. Over the last 2-3 years, there has been a parade of live armed young guys called up with so much potential, but not one has stayed healthy and/or become a reliable starting pitcher. Sure hope Flaherty has it tonight.

This.

I really want them to win at home, but is giving NY another W worth it?

Even my NY buddies were like...

You don't knock out the best team on fire since the all star break and not win the world series. You just don't. Good for them, 🖕 them still. LOL

Last night was one for the ages . . .
I watch 50-100 Dodger games per year. Likely watched another 500+ games as my son was going through his own baseball journey. Last night, saw multiple things that I had never seen before. Baseball is funny that way, you can't just run out the clock. Kind of relieved its over, the last three weeks have been exhausting to watch.

My mother moved to LA from Iowa in 1959, a year after the Dodgers moved from Brooklyn. Before I was born, she worked as a nurse in an pediatric office where the owner had season tickets and would sometimes give them to her. When my parents were dating, they got to see Sandy Koufax pitch in the 1965 World Series.

After I came along, mum quit her job and worked from home taking calls at night from patients with sick kids. The radio was always on in the kitchen, tuned to the Dodgers with Vin Scully announcing from the earliest I can remember until I moved out as an adult.

I’ve watched or listened to the Dodgers my whole life. My brother and best friend have season tickets so I’m lucky to go to a bunch of games every year. Unfortunately, mum passed away 5 weeks ago right as the post season was about to start, so this one feels a bit bittersweet. But it’s still fucking awesome

Congrats Dodgers. I was hoping for all 7 games, but ater game 4 and the interference by the NY fans with Betts...I was like I hope the dodgers destroy them next game!
Well, what a comeback for sure down 0-5. The epic fall apart, LOL
What I don't understand are the fans in LA destroying their own city cause their team WON????? WTF????
Do they destroy their own house when their kid gets a trophy???
Idiots!

Go Angel's (Some year)......LOL not holding my breath though on that one though.

Awesome story, thanks for sharing..... My Dad grew up in Montebello and was a lifelong Dodgers fan. We lived in Whittier until I was four, then moved up to the Central Valley. Its tough to be a Dodgers fan up here, 90% of the people are Giants fans. There was one station that would carry the Dodgers games when I was a kid (always super staticy), so Vin Scully was a constant. Amazing how, whenever he was telling a story, the at-bat or inning would last exactly as long as he needed to finish the story. Always that extra foul ball to extend the at-bat, as if that's how God wanted it.

Once my Dad's cancer made him immobile and miserable during the spring/summer of 2023, the only thing that seemed to make him happy was watching Dodgers games. He really wanted to see one more Dodgers World Series, since 2020 just wasn't the same. He passed away in August of 2023. Since then, I feel the most connected to his memory while watching the Dodgers, so I've gone all in. The mission is now accomplished, there were lots of tears last night.

Parents grew up in Los Angeles (East LA) in the shadow of DTLA. I grew up in Montebello as well.

Dodgers baseball whether yore a die hard core or just from the neighborhood...these are yore boys, sons, brothers...

So many Grandparents, Uncles, Aunt's, and down the line that bleed BLUE.

It's a family thing.

Sitting in MDW Chicago on way to LGA NY then on to Jersey...it's going to be a fun weekend of hockey, but baseball is EVERYTHING this weekend.
