I’m coming to G first week of Feb with a group from Oregon and Washington. What do we need to ensure we are compliant with our sand cars and SxS’s while there? I’ve seen posts on this before but tried searching and didn’t find anything. Is an Oregon or Washington ATV sticker accepted? Do we need something else? I’m aware of the Glamis passes we need for RV’s and such so looking for the specifics on the what we need for the toys. Thanks!

go to ranger station or Gilmores or the Glamis beach store and get the out of state decal $30 bucks Good thru 12/31/2026

thanks! Is that all we need? Any way to get these online ahead of our departure?

By registered, I assume that they mean stickered in your state. You need something that says that it is yours. I go from CO....in CO, the OHV sticker is in my name and that always flys. They've never looked at it...but I pulled the card out of my wallet and they didn't look at it. I have 3 ATVs and had 3 cards in my wallet....some were expired. But, They had CA stickers on them.

They can, and will (based on your attitude) impound toys that you don't have anything that says that it is yours.

You will be accosted by the BLM....DON"T F W/THEM. Be nice and they'll be nice to you, even if your stuff is wrong. They are looking for the use permit (did I say that they are looking for the use permit?) and often don't even look at your toys.

If you don't have the Permit....and you tell them that you just got in....they'll be cool. BUT, they'll be back in 1-2 hours and will expect to see it. They'll look at your windshield and drive on.... (Not me, but my BIL who did just drive in and the trailer was barely parked).

You will also need a ISDRA use permit. They are cheaper off-site. I don't know where to tell you to get them as you are coming from the North. They are, I think, $180 (same price on-site), for the season (thru March or April), or about 1/3 of that for a week. If you want to be a target for the BLM...skip this. Off-site, they are cash only.

Glamis is for party-animals. Gordon's is calmer and heavily visited. Ogilby, Ogilby Road and Buttercup are the calmest. At these last 3, you can run your generator and nobody cares as they aren't w/in 100 yards of you. You hear the freeway at Buttercup (but no machines) at night.

Except for sandrails....you need a helmet for everything else, and an 8' whip....of-course

Quick question you said 8’.. I think all of my lighted whips are 3-4’ max?

W/the tip 8' off the ground....they don't measure.

But, I assume that they could stand next to it and reach up w/their arm.

Oh it’s more than eight foot off the ground. I thought you meant 8’ from the roof.

Are you going to stay for the Regatta ? As a new Funco owner you need to experience that at least 1 time.

Off Site Vendors, maybe somebody on yore path to Glamis - call them first, always.

As everyone already said - Nonresident OHV Permit for each OHV and yore Weekly Pass for your primary vehicle
