Ok this is bad ass

Uh, no. Steerable axle on the front will absolutely EAT tires. This is an afterthought because is wasn't built right, or was unsuccessfully repurposed...

Competitive used to build all kinds of crazy shit. I saw a stacker they did where they matched the stainless siding on a provost..

Was this before people could do load math? It looks like the tongue has a radial pivot point to allow it to "float" between it and the tow rig. Alleviating tongue weight.
It was probably fucked together to overcome some dudes shitty hitch rating on his old ass bus.

The front wheel arches and the tin work are a scab nightmare of what's underneath.

I am trying to understand the point of the steerable front axle???
Only tongue weight is the tongue itself.

It's definitely weird. I assume they were trying to accomplish something similar to towing a Toad:

Which is rigidly connected in the exact same manner. I don't know of anyone who toads that eats tires though.

The biggest issue with a toad is backing up is basically unpossible. This isn't an issue with a Jeep since you can just drive it. Not so with a trailer.
