Then why stop the local aid people were offering? and why are the residents all up in arms about their properties being sold out from under them? Have yo watched any of the interviews? I mean, it's only a conspiracy if it's not true lol...

I deal with it every fire here. They evacuate the area and block roads to check for looters. Once you leave, no return. It’s a cluster every time.

 
Someone care to explain why the satellite images have already been updated on Google Maps post fire? My house still shows images of 4 years ago.  I hear it's for the bidding of properties remotely. We the people don't control chit!

Have you spent a lot of time in the islands?  Corrupt as hell and nothing I'm hearing surprises me, but there is a chit ton of misinfo going around.  Properties aren't being sold out from under people, but there are people with $$ currently making offers, developers chummy with local pols are definitely chomping at the bit to re-develop and it will probably suck for locals it all plays out. 

Lahaina was an amazing town where I lived for summer and have visited many times since. Their entire history was wiped out in a day and I don't see how it ever gets back to what it was, just sad all around . . .
