Maui Fire

Why am I finding this whole thing kind of strange. Any conspiracy theorists care to share their findings? Just seems like something doesn't smell right. I feel for all those that have lost everything. It's devastating. Damn.

You mean like laser beams, billionaires, and developers?

 
We were talking about this on break today....  the only folks with any money are developers and they will be buying up land and building condos and hotels WAY before the average home owner gets a single shovel in the ground.  And ....  I'm guessing they will bring their own labor with them....  super sad...

We had just returned back from Maui and heard the news. Seems most of the places we were hanging around at have burned down. It will take a long time for them to rebuild, and I doubt they will be able to maintain that "old village" feel. I am sure new building codes will change it up a bit too. 

 
I haven't been to Maui in 35 years, we do Kauai annually. So sad to see such a beautiful paradise burn. Death toll could be in the thousands (not hundreds) as they have only just started to figure that out.

What a horrible tradjedy.

ok, so its super windy and power lines go down....that is the fault of a Utility company again because?

I know this is the new thing and they have been getting their asses sued to the moon.

The way laws are twisted and contorted to fit, makes me ill. All our laws are run by emotions now...

 
Hawaii is lost to reason anyways... the head of the power company will be destroyed... and the elected elite will get richer....

Before this even happened they wanted to basically succeed from the United States. There are many groups ready to sue the chit out of anybody that tries to buy the land from locals. At least what I'm seeing on Facebook.

Act of God, sure, it happens.

Put profit over safety and refuse to replace parts, don’t feel sorry for them. 

We’ll see which one it is, but the PGE situation still smells like chit. Plead guilty to 84 counts of negligent manslaughter, and Newsome spends $6M in taxpayer money to hire a legal team to write legislation to bail them out of it ($10k fine per person was all they had to pay). Since 2010, the company has been directly responsible for over 100 deaths due to negligence.

Yet, revenue is up every year

Not saying sue everyone for everything, but fawk, how many people can you kill before you at least shed some profit on your state-endorsed monopoly…? It’s not hard to shut the power down on high risk sectors, SDGE does it multiple times a year here.

Don't believe all the PG&E hype you hear...they have "spotters" that determine what trees can be cut and which can't ... they would never have a fire if they were allowed to maintain the right of ways they way they want to.  It's CA it's all BS.... they had everything worked out before they plead to anything.....make the peasants happy.....but screw em the next year... This STATE is F'd ... and it's because of Democrats.... 

 
Others are blaming Global Warming or Climate Change or whatever the fawk it is called now.

Sure, that's a major problem as well.  PGE is still definitely culpable in this as there wouldn't have been a need to test vegetation clearing had they not ignored the failing hooks on that power line (amongst others) for over 30 years.  They've also went through a lot of effort to fund those same Democrats to appoint CPUC officials who don't do chit.
