Its Saturday Oct 14th 2023... What is everyone up too?

countdown to the college athlete end. Son's team won 59-10. He played 3 qtrs and they benched him. Man he had an awesome pull to the left and the rb followed him about 25 yards throwing guys around all the way. it was awesome.

4 games left, 3 away and 1 home, senior nights gonna be tough, nov 4th i'll be a wreck im sure. end of a good run, many years of practices and games, combines and showcases, oh the memories is all I'll have left.

I helped my with wash and wax her car yesterday.   There was something nasty all over the front facing surfaces.  I changed the fuel filter on my truck.  I Didn't end up doing much else.  

This morning met up with @punkur67, he let me shoot a couple of his long range rifles.   He is SUPER knowledgeable, very patient and explained things very well. First time out and I shot to 850 yards.  I'm new to the long range stuff, having somone who knows what they are doing and has super bitchen equipment is SO helpful.   THANKS Jeff!! 

Going to cook up some Carne and Pollo later today for friends.

Shot with @Bobalos this morning and and gave a crash course on shooting longer ranges. Also started the break in process on my new 6.5 SAUM barrel to get ready for my elk hunt next month while we were there.

Hosted a cub scout meeting after the range and had my firefighter buddy come talk to the kids. They loved it

Thanks. It is the most agile buggy I have ever driven. Fast, light and turns on a dime. It definitely makes for fun duning. 

 
After being sick with the flu all week this is the first week and I felt okay.

Magnums are cool and all. Just not fun to shoot all day. I love my 300wm but it weighs 26#s so it's easy to shoot. A light magnum will kick your ass shooting all day

 
Played in a 2 day golf tournament with JB as my partner. We didn't win but had a great time with 130 people entered. Saw lots of friends / acquaintances. Went to sleep last night around 7:00pm.....slept great. Woke up at 2:24am with my phone blowing up. My buddy, I call him CHAMP because he's a badass (4 time back to back to back to back Champion) crashed yesterday. Broke Scapula / 6 ribs / collarbone / thumb. Just talked to him on the phone. Laying in a hospital bed in pain, waiting for a doctor / specialist to see him. I had that same accident minus the thumb and collarbone. Eight (8) weeks of pain and uncomfortable life. I feel bad for Danny. Get well Champ. Peace

We were able to wake up in Glamis on Saturday for our grand daughters first trip to Glamis. She wanted to try a lime from our beer and was not sure how she liked it. lol. Took her for her first ride. She did not like her goggles but other than that she did OK and also fell asleep on the ride.

Just hung out down the street, drank with friends and watched ball to see if my bets hit.  Went 4 and 2, so not bad.  Saw these people hanging out doing a pub crawl of some sort.  Turns out it was a Mrs Roper theme. Kinda timely with the Susanne Somer news, RIP:
