It's Saturday 9-3-22 What are you doing this Labor Day weekend?

My oldest picked his Jr. A Men's team for the 2022-23 Season, he'll be playing for the Ontario Jr. Reign in the USPHL Premiere Pacific Division.

We are very excited about the road ahead, this is local and has everything he needs on his path to NCAA / ACHA College Level Hockey. Going back East to play would have been a party for sure, but even he knows hard work now will get him to a higher level later.  Too many of his buddies already fell off track, ended up just being a younger version of Beer-league, he doesn't want that.

Dad has a duffy and lives on the water on Lido Island. I commandeer the boat whenever I feel like it.. This boat is HUGE... cross Atlantic.. no problem

cruising the duffy around the harbor is always a good time.  Especially a holiday weekend. Some dude was trying to sail the other day.  He would come right toward you than tack the other way.  Got really close to a few boats.  He had a good size sailboat.

About 9 months ago we went on a week day and it was the windiest I'd ever seen, tons of big sail boats tacking and what not.. they were, as you mentioned, coming within feet of hitting each other. Kinda stressful in the little electric.

Went to the office this morning and pulled all the work orders off Monday. When everyone showed up they said........."What do you want us to do about the Tuesday scheduled jobs?" Really sucks when the Boss looks like an idiot. Peace

Staying chill at the homestead.

Too darn HOT to BBQ, so I settled for a Simple salad.

Jonathon's team made to Round 1 of Playoffs, their regular season was 3rd in the Pacific Division. Unfortunately we got swept by Vegas T-Birds and the 2022-23 Season is over. Heartbreaker, but what a fantastic season and experience.

So proud of all he got to do, traveling all across the Pacific coast with his team, the intense amount of training everyday, all the community service the team was a part of....just an amazing experience. We can't wait to see what happens next, he still has one more year to play in Jr. Hockey before aging out.

Instead of spending the rest of the weekend in Vegas, he chose to rush home and watch his little brother in the State Playoffs, cheering for his old alma mater, whose last trip to State Playoffs was his Senior year...
