My Mom turned 80 today.
Last night my brother, his wife, my wife and I took her to the Sycamore Inn for dinner in Rancho Cucamonga.
Great times!
Happy Birthday Mom, you are very loved by all of us!

If you didn’t learn it already, heat the bolt with a torch or map gas. This will help those bolts break loose.I learned getting flywheel bolts out when someone used Red loctite in is next to impossible.

Yes, weld nuts onto those bolts. The heat into the bolt from the weld should do it!I did! Map gas for 5 minutes, Socket, Big Ugga Dugga. Impact driver...All I got was 3 bolts out, Rounded 3 others and Nicked my FLywheel. Gonna try bolt extractor, more heat. If that fails, have a guy weld on some bolts I can actuallly grab.
Hope so :dude:Yes, weld nuts onto those bolts. The heat into the bolt from the weld should do it!
Or use an air chisel on the edge to start them turning.Hope so :dude:
That might work!Or use an air chisel on the edge to start them turning.
Prior to welding a nut on, drill a hole through the center of the bolts like you're going to use an extractor. This will relieve stress on it. Allowing room for the bolt to "shrink" inward after it cools from the welding. It might even be enough to get the bolts to let go..That might work!
Will do, thanksPrior to welding a nut on, drill a hole through the center of the bolts like you're going to use an extractor. This will relieve stress on it. Allowing room for the bolt to "shrink" inward after it cools from the welding. It might even be enough to get the bolts to let go..
Drilling down the center and welding a nut on is all good advice. After you've drilled them all, just do one at a time. Weld a nut to 1 and remove it then move on to the 2nd one and so on so that you're not letting them cool too much before removing them. My .02Will do, thanks
Makes sense. Would you guys use and impact or socket and breaker bar to rermove?Drilling down the center and welding a nut on is all good advice. After you've drilled them all, just do one at a time.
