I think green tip is historically what is used during action?

The silver tip is more "rainy day" stuff.

I wonder what the issue is with the green tips? I have thousands of surplus rounds out of Malaysia etc

From what I've read...the steel core made them less stable, therefore less accurate at longer ranges.
