Iran Fires Missiles into Israel....AND AWAY WE GO!

Did I hear that Iran notified Russsia about the bombings right before they launched? Peace

Because Russia is their ally and they have a large military trade deal between each other.

It's being reported now that the US helped shoot down some of the missiles. Yes...we've had this technology and ability for quite sometime but...using it only confirms our abilities and builds a better enemy.

I'm very uneasy with all this use and "testing" of technology in the open. We are seeing so many "secrets" being opened up and throw out to the world. "yup....we have this now...". You can't put technology and secrets back in the box. Even if our enemies and even allies only suspect something, it's a deterrent. Once it's out there, they now have a plan to counter it.
Only bonus is I won't laugh even more when the news covers some "new Chinese military tech" that's about 3 decades old for us...

Another play...

Iran fires missiles, knowing the US will help defend Israel. US depletes missile batteries and munitions in the region...THEN...Iran attacks the US and Israel. US ships are then stuck in the gulf.

I have transited the Strait of Hormuz many times. I've been part of the plan and defense of the Strike Group. This is not an easy task and exposes our forces more than you can understand. Iran is well aware of this.
The Scary thing is logical minds...know this and understand the response would be swift and fierce.....sadly....there are not many logical minds in Iran.

Made that drive myself. VERY unnerving knowing there are missiles pointed at you and the only thing you can do is dog the hatch behind you...

Sounds like they took out some F-35s, I think those are expensive planes ehh,

Damage was also reported to be minimal, but on social media on Wednesday, many pro-Iranian supporters echoed reports from Iranian state media that the missiles successfully struck Israeli airbases. Claims were made that the attack destroyed entire squadrons of the Lockheed Martin F-35I Adir—the Israeli Air Force's fifth-generation fighter.

"Iran has successfully destroyed 30 Israeli F-35 fighter jets that were used to genøcide 40,000 children."

Sigh. This smells of misinformation. 30 would be pretty hard to do given they're not parked in a group together at the mall. The genocide of 40,000 children is another fabrication.

The story here would seem to be exactly how much was fired at the base in total.
How military assets and infrastructure were attacked let alone protected is unfortunately any country's main concern over what the media
promotes or citizens may feel.
If you can't fight or sustain the fight then everything else is a mute point.

Iran fires missiles all over that theater, what's new? Israel's problem, don't care. Chances of that theater leading to WWIII, <=0

I don’t agree with that at all.. things are unfortunately escalating.. we are already teetering on war with Russia..

Did you actually read the article you posted a link to??

"The spread of these posts can be considered either misinformation or disinformation. In the case of the former, people on social media may see the videos/images and simply think they are true, and re-post them because they feel they are sharing true news without critiquing it," added Braddock.

A Planned Disinformation Campaign
Iranian state media presented a fictional narrative, and it also likely employed operatives on social media to post their own claims—which served to provide confirmation for an event that didn't occur.

"The originators of the posts are engaged in spreading disinformation—the purposeful spread of false information for strategic purposes," Braddock suggested.

"The goal of most mis/dis-information is not to convince people that something that didn't happen—dozens of F-35s destroyed—happened," explained Dr. Matthew Schmidt, associate professor in the National Security Department at the University of New Haven.

"It's designed to flood the mediascape with false information that causes a psychological response where people are overloaded with contradictory information and respond to this cognitively by questioning all the information in the mediascape, true and outlandishly false alike," warned Schmidt. "The attackers hack our brains by flooding us with information and trigger a cognitive response based on the volume of data coming at us, regardless of its veracity."

For as much as we were made fun of for being the World Police...

If no one does it, this is what happens. This quote comes to mind:

Humans are assholes. They absolutely will compete if resources are limited.

If it were 'only' World War 3...both we and a good share of the rest of the free world might not be defending Israel in the first place...had not one son been sent to die for us with a message partly predicting exactly what Israel is going through at this very moment.
Praying for you, brother.

Anyone remember this guy...🤣07-minister2.jpg

except that the F35s are kept in hardened hangers?
Something like below - more to protect from prying eyes than dropping ordinance. That said, they are spread out pretty far from each other and to actually cover 1/4 of the numbers they reported isn't likely.

Israeli only has 39 F35's total, doubt they damaged anywhere close to the number they are saying. Also, the harden bunkers are for protection from enemy fire and actual UV rays. UV rays are hard on the Stealth coatings.....

Buddy works for the Navy, doing training. He mentioned a few months back that they were training with silver tip 5.56 because all the green tip was shipped off to Ukraine. He said the silver tip was generally reserved for action.

I think green tip is historically what is used during action?
