Getting stuck is a problem

Duning, yes.

Driving out of a hole then immediately inflating, I doubt you could go too low short of no air.

For the record: the wife’s X3 has run 7-8psi in all 4 tires for 8 years now. No beadlocks.

Duning? Or getting out of holes?

This seems like such an obvious solution to being stuck. Has anybody tried airing way way down and then filling back up once they drive out of the hole?

Airing down if your chassis is touching the sand isn't going to help. If you let the chassis hit sand you are f'd. Time to start digging or get a tug.

In reality, if you actually did that...

You'd lower the chassis deeper into the sand.

Take my advice. Just avoid getting stuck in the first place!

It's really not that hard to do. 😊
