Ford Chevy Dodge

Took Delivery of the Ford yesterday. F-350 King Ranch. White 6.7 Been a long time since I've driven a Real Truck. Other than my Raptor of course. BIG Truck. Peace

Hooked the Gooseneck up for the first time and noticed my spare tire was swinging free under the bed of the truck. And the tire is an all terrain Goodyear Wrangler. Completely different size and model tire from the Michelins on this $98k truck. Called the salesman and told him I want the exact tire thats on the truck. He said he'd check on it. How long do you give him before I call him back? And.......do you think It's legit to expect the spare tire to be the same size and brand of the F-350 King Ranch Truck? It's only $98k. Peace

IMO its not unreasonable.  if it was the same size and rating, I dont think I would sweat it, but ...........

Mine is the same!

It was loose because someone at the dealer swapped it out.  These spare tire carriers have a key just like a like a wheel lock.  Individually coded.  They had to have access to it to lower the tire.

Demand a like/like replacement.  Curious if the load ratings are the same.?..

I have been shopping for a new truck. My last 2 trucks have been ford (F350 Dually & F250 tremor) I drive my trucks daily a couple days a week just because I like the truck feel or I have junk to haul from teh house to dumpster at work. I have been doing more car shows and trailering my cars so I am leaning towards F450 Dually. Gonna buy a wedge to haul an extra car or 2.  I am told I cannot order a F450 at this time. Dodge I can order and Chevy but they are 7 months out. The truck struggle is real..

S&S Diesel is about to release a Stanadyne pump conversion kit that will finally allow powerstroke guys to throw the CP4 in the waste can.

My buddy is selling his 2015 Dodge Cummins Diesel 2500 w/ 140,000 miles. Just put in a new tranny. Very clean. Listing it soon for $28k. Says he'll sell it to me for $25k. (Buddy Deal) He went to school with my wife since elementary school. Good dude. Owns an excavation company. Has a shop in back of his yard. If anything goes wrong, his guys fix it. Sent the Dodge back there, came back with a new Tranny. Think it's worth the money? Never owned a Dodge before. Peace

if you ask me the 05 to 07 trucks are the ideal trucks.  if you could find one in the same price range with ~150K it would be worth it.  because of all of the emissions stuff, I would not buy anything between there & a new truck (buying the warranty).  Now if it has the smog crap deleted and its not throwing codes because of the delete........... Id be interested.  Gotta look @ the vehicle as well & see how well/hard it was driven...

If you intend to work it, I'd only buy a 3500 with HO and Aisin. Early 6.7s had their non-DEF/Heavy EGR emissions strategy, which caused oil dilution issues, etc., and proved to be a bad concept.

Sold my 2WD 04.5 Federal Emissions 5.9 with juuuust over 100k on the clock 6 years ago for $25k.  I'm sure they're even worse now price wise.  No one wanted them when I bought mine in 2008 because the 6.7 and 6spd auto came out...  Then the emissions headaches started and everyone wanted my truck.

The autos got a bad rap, but as long as you adjusted the bands every fluid change and kept the converter locked when towing, they're fine.
