I just know what I see, these kids were all straight A students.  They graduate and they are lost.  A lot go back to school and get their masters because there is no opportunity for them, but then again not the point of this thread.  Sports are not answer to a successful child, it is the parents.

The thread overall is about how Parents aren't teaching their kids how to survive in the real world

Sports are not answer to a successful child, it is the parents.

Agree,  No one said it was, but to say sports negate from success is a huge miss!

 
I've got a guy who's been with me 2 years. Just handed him the keys to a Big Service Truck. Congrats you've graduated to a main technician. After two (2) months I've had to take the keys back and make him a helper again. He doesn't remember what he did the day before. I'll ask him questions about his day yesterday, going over his work and he looks at me with a blank stare and says....."I don't know". Could it be lack of education or mental deficiency? Or that ol' Give a shiit meter registering zero? Peace

That is weird, I had this one girl work for me that she never remembered the day before.  I could have her crying and the next day she comes in like nothing every happened.  I nicknamed her "Reboot".  

 
Been doing a lot of coaching/babysitting lately. Discussing their plan of action in the morning. Then asking them the next morning what they did. All they have to say is exactly what I discussed with them the morning before. Seems to be helping. THERE IS HOPE! Peace
